I voted for Friday and Saturday LN. Yeah, Thursday has been crowded the past few years, but it's really never bothered me or kept me from seeing the bands I wanted on that day.

My feeling is that a Thursday Which would spread out the crowd and make the whole day more fun/tolerable. Every year it seems like people go to see the Thursday closers find it's so crowded it's almost not worth it.
Lack of a LN Which would also cause crowding, but I feel like everyone is in a little better state LN and the thick crowds are much more tolerable.

I voted for thurs which. Give us something like umphreys, Sts9, animal collective, or thievery corp to open the fest up. I never really had problems with crowds at ln last year when which wasn't open.
To me, Thursday has been a nightmare since 2011. I could barely move through the entrance area. I usually end up hanging out at camp missing all the Thursday bands I'd like to see because of it. Spreading that crowd out would be fran-freaking-tastic.
Friday/Saturday Which. A big artist on Thursday would be nice, but the balancing act would be tricky. Too big? Nobody at the Tent Shows and Which field is as crowded is Skrillex was. Now I didn't care about Skrillex, but had I wanted to see that show at all, there was no way in hell it was happening.
Too small? No real impact on Thursday, and we wind up with tents like Black Star and Major Lazer where it's far more packed than the Thursday night shows get. Truth be told it's more likely I care about a band on Friday or Saturday late night, than Thursday.
If the scheduling was done well I'd say Thursday would be great, but after last year's late night schedule I don't trust them.

Yeah the balancing act could be tough.
Also if the act is desireable enough it could cause more people to show up Thursday. I used to think everyone was in by Thursday, but Friday morning each year finds tent only is 2x as populated as Thursday.
I don't remember what I voted. Either would be great. Alabama shakes could have rocked the Which stage and thinned out the tents for that last slot.
I would've liked to have a good LN Which show to keep me in center Friday this year - we stumbled back to our tent about 3/4 way through Radiohead and we had planned to see the Umphrey's show.
We were pretty far for Skrillex, but it was still a lot of fun.

I voted Fri/Sat but I wouldn't be opposed to opening Which on Thursday if both the Fri/Sat LN tents were guaranteed to be stacked. Last year was one of my favorite Roo's, if not my favorite, but I found the LN's a little weak

My memories of Thursday night 2012 are splotchy but I woke up Friday morning uninjured so I count that as a win. There was no Friday LN at Which because Skrillex had to build his space ship.
I think that a LN Which on Thursday is a fine idea.

I had planned on catchin' some of the Superjam as well, but like you I couldn't leave Alice Cooper!

I would rather the Thrs show for two reasons: 1) the Thrs tents between 7-11pm are starting to burst at the seams. 2) (call the wahmbulance) the LN Which sound bleeds into the tents. Not always a bad thing. In fact, it got me to see NIN in 2009, and Skrillex last year. I was incredibly anti-Skrillex going into the festival. Then, in very appropriate Roovian fashion, I had an amazing time. ALL OF THAT BEING SAID: I kept turning around during the show I was at, to see what was happening, instead of totally enjoying the show in front me.
Honestly though, both options are better than last year's scheduling.
How was the food at Chili's? A lot like the music?
The food was lackluster and not at all what I had hoped for. While probably a health code violation, the best part of my meal was a flea thumping around on my plate.

Last year was my first so I can't say too much about it, but I'd much rather have a Fri/Sat LN. As I remember, getting into Centeroo on Thursday was hell. If a big act was thrown in I'd imagine it being much worse. Also, I kind of see Thursday as a "settling in" night to kind of get acquainted (especially if its your first year) rather than a big show night. That's just me though.
edit: well maybe I don't know what I'm talking about when I said getting in would be harder with a Thurs Which. Either way, I think I'd still prefer a Fri/Sat LN.
