I missed the May 12th Paypal deposit/application deadline but am seriously interested in being a POD volunteer - I just didn't think I would be able to get off work, I find out now that I can. Anyone out there have any info. on remaining volunteer opps? Have all the positions been filled? I've emailed TPTB but hoped I might be able to get some insider info.
Any info. would be appreciated ~ thanks
My boyfriend just applied on friday, got accepted and they said they could extend the pay date until 5/15. Not sure if they are still taking apps/extending though.

Thanks for the info. I got an email back from TPTB and there is still a chance of getting a spot, but nothing definate - it's just too late at this point - still, there is always next year.

Volunteers are required to put down a $260.00 deposit via PayPal, including a non-refundable $10 deposit-processing fee. Sorry, no forms of payment other than PayPal are accepted.
What's up with that then? That's taken from the volunteer section at www.bonnaroo.com

Wow, there are 2 threads relating to volunteering. Anyhow, I'll try to sum it up. You make a deposit thru pay-pal to bonnaroo. Bonnaroo keeps your money to make sure you hold up your end of the bargain. Once all is said and done, they'll reimberse you via pay-pal. It is quicker than hanging around Monday morning till around 9a to get your deposit or waiting on them to snail-mail it back to you within 3 weeks. The 10 bucks is pay-pal's was of making money. Pay-pal get's theirs coming and going. It's all about the almighty dollar.

Okay, so I emailed karen asking details about when check in would be, orientation, scheduling and whatnot, and her reply was "Yep...just waiting on maps"...
Dude, I seriously can't concentrate on anything but bonnaroo right now. . .It's to the point where I'm poking myself in the eye with foreign objects. . . I think I just need to be sedated until Tuesday. . . . Dystopian Dream

I just booked a room in Murfreesboro (coming from IL) for the Tuesday night so I can roll in early Wednesday morning without driving all night. There seemed to be a lot of rooms available so if any one else is interested in doing the same, check out expedia.

I've grabbed a room in Cookeville for Tuesday night. I've only got about a 3 hour drive, but I want to get to roo full of energy. For anyone traveling from the east or north, Cookeville is about 45 min from roo and it has a ton of hotels and eating places.

Even though I'm only coming 3 hours from Atlanta, we're actually doing the same thing. My kids start their summer vacation with their dad when I go to 'roo, so we're meeting him in Murfreesboro Tues. night and then me and my boyfriend are going to get a room there so we can get to 'roo early on Weds.
Im guessing its a No .. . . . . but is a non volunteer paying camper able to camp with their volunteer friends in the volunteer camping area.
I'll say no. They have a security guy that makes sure everyone that enters has a "staff bracelet". But, maybe Thomas Jefferson might make him turn his head. Just an idea, wouldn't hurt to try.
I'm so ready for roo to get here! I'm going to leave Tuesday and drive till I get close and crash. Then I can get there early on Wednesday and get rejected with my rv!

I just got accepted as a volunteer at Rothbury, too! Holy crap this is going to be an awesome summer (if I can convince my husband to let me do *both* festivals!)!! Did I mention I'm also going to Jamaica and to my sister-in-law's commitment ceremony in Seattle? *AND* my best friend's wedding in Chicago (she's having two ceremonies--one in England, one in the states, too bad I couldn't go to the one in England, it really would have been the best summer ever)!!
Now I'm even more excited than I thought was physically possible.
Oh, and this all counts as research towards my thesis. . .

I'd like to think I got my package about a day or 2 after tix were sent out. Don't count that as the gospel, there have been thousands of brain and liver cells give their lives in the name of "thinking I could dance".

Hey Dutins, are you pre or during? Although I guess they will all be mailed at the same time. I used to live in Rutherford County NC - not too far from you.

How can you check what address they mailed your packet to? I am not sure which address I gave them and I want to make sure I get it...my roomies aren't exactly reputable when it comes to checking mail...
