Thus, the Townspeople's great hope is the Inspector. This is a secret figure, known only to him or herself, that has inside information on the identity of the Mafiosi. S/he can covertly use this information to influence the votes towards the Mafiosi. But s/he better watch his/her step, because if the Mafia gets wind it will be lights out.
I'm not very good at sarcasm, It was a poor joke anyway.
No worries. My first game I had everybody jumping all over me for my posts and vote changes. Get used to it. Mafia like to stir things up to get Townies in trouble.
I never trust a helpful quacker. If I remember right, in Mafia 50 he was helpful and ended up being mafia.
I kind of remember what you are talking about. But as for this game, I didn't see that as being overly helpful. I wasn't sure if Boneroo was serious either.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. It seems a little much to have LD up for possible runoff yet again. But I'm not sure if the mafia would actively try to place LD into the first round runoff for a second game in a row. Personally, I would shy away from that tactic out of fear that it might backfire and bring suspicion. And possible make it easier for the Inspector to get a first round guess. Having said that, stranger things have happened. And of course, there is the chance that LD is actually mafia this game.
I want to agree with Bacon on Boneroo being in the runoff, if LD stays in. BUT I would hate for it to be a rookie mistake that leads us in the wrong direction.
I feel I should go ahead and switch votes to at least get this runoff to two people. Just can't make up my mind what direction I want to go. I sorta feel like picking the quietest, if for nothing else to get them talking. Not that I've been super vocal myself.
Gotta agree with you al,out completely SFA. I'm almost feeling better off taking a shot in the dark based on how this round has gone. I definitely think the wide net runoff would be benificial. Still gonna wait and see what LD has to say.

Haha. Viking, since you haven't played in awhile I forgot how you jump on everything. I am being a bit more helpful but only bc Boner is a noob.
I'm going to keep my vote on LD until he has a chance to reciprocate but I find it interesting that you chose to jump on me when you knew I had a likely VP vote coming. Just FTR I was planning on changing up off of LD this time. I got lucky last game by not switching to the yet-to-be-revealed Inspector. Even if it means me going away I'll think twice about who I move my vote to.
I really do not like how this runoff looks. We have LD, who is always a target, and Boneroo who is a new player and an easy target. Add to that that no one has posted and hours, and I think we have a runoff the mafia is happy with right now.
I would like to see Quacker in the runoff, so I am not changing my vote, but we need some people to shift or we will not learn anything.
Getting vote stacked without a single post. Great job, assholes. I should have seen this topic faster, my bad. Boneroo is trying to get me killed off, either as a terrible Mafia player or because he's a Habs fan and I'm a Bruins fan. Now I'm going to recip. my vote partner from Quacker, and by the time I get home from work (12 hours from now) I better not be in some runoff over stupid shit.
I assure you it was solely to do with you choice of hockey team. I noticed 2 bruins fans in the game, and assumed you were both evil, thus mafia. It was you or Hakuna. I'm now realizing that's silly, and will change my vote accordingly. I don't want to be the cause of any unwarranted runoff. Boneroo >>> Mike D >>>LD >>> Bacon

I prefer three person runoffs to two. My usual strategy if I'm going to put someone in a runoff is to put in someone who is voting for another runoff player. I don't really want to put LD back in because he did get knocked off first round last time, and that's got to get old pretty quick. Viking's not an option at this point because no one else is voting for him. That leaves bacon or mc. Kind of torn on that, but I'm going to go with bacon because he and boneroo are voting for each other, so it seems fair for them to be up against each other in the runoff.
Well, basically everything revolving around Boneroo isn't sitting well with me right now. Hakuna >> MC Mostly a shot in the dark, partly because he has voted for both LD and Boneroo. I just don't think a 2 person runoff including Boneroo is benificial to the town. I totally understand people wanting to just vote him off and be done with it, I am just having too hard of a time deciding Mafias angle with him.
I would like to see at least a third in the runoff, but not sure who yet. I think having Boneroo and Quacker is a good start due to the LD votes. I am not counting MC's cause it was apparently a mistake and he changed it pretty quick. I am thinking I would like to see either NBF or Viking, NBF's move seems eerily similar to a move Bacon did to me 2 games ago as mafia, trying to bust up a voting pair, but I will give her credit for at least being willing to make a move and start us on a way to a runoff. Viking, partially for helping put quacker in, but something doesn't sit right with how he voted, then LD comes in after to recip and put Quacker in.
So right now that would leave a runoff of me, Boneroo and Bacon. I've got no problem with that. All I can do with a vote change is add somebody else to the mix and that would expand the runoff. I'm kind of partial to a 3-way runoff too.

I f*cking hate when people do this. I didn't vote for LD. If you go back and look at the posts, I took my vote off of him about 3 seconds after I voted for him, because I didn't notice he had a vote already, and didn't want to stack votes this early. I understand it's early and you've not much to go on but if you throw too many people into the runoff then it becomes pointless.
The fact that you're twisting my non-vote for LD into something that it's not (what exactly would be the mafia benefit to me voting for LD for 3 seconds?) makes me curious.
I am right there with you on this one MC. I was going to recommend adding MC to the runoff for the exact same reason Hakunah did (LD and Boneroo votes) until I read back to see the reasons for the LD votes. Looking solely at the tally I understand where Hakunah is coming from, but I think he should have realized you didn't intend to do that to LD. Looking at NBF and Hakunah's posts on their most recent votes, I find it odd that Hakunah also voted for the other person NBF had her vote narrowed down to.
The round has been extended so we have a little more time to talk things out. I know most of yall prefer 3-way runoffs in round 1, with the occasional 4-way, but I have played a fairly passive role in my previous games which hasn't done a lick of good and neither is my vote just sitting on someone not being considered for a runoff. I think we need to at least consider that Hakunah may have wanted/needed a reason to throw another person into the runoff.
Jeez, doesn't this make it a 5-way runoff? I don't think I've ever seen one before. I'm leaving my vote on LD just because he's my VP and I all I can do is really screw things up. I don't want to put a 3rd on somebody unless we get to an agreement on how many are going to be in.

Mike D >> Hakunah
Fair enough.... To be honest, i was down to bacon and Mc, like NBF, I just went with mc. I think we were just both on the same train of thought. I do think its fishy that some how my reasoning is being called into question but NBF's isn't.
I did intend on voting for Quacker this morning, but primarily because I didn't have enough time to really look into votes and posts in depth. I don't have any reason to throw him into what would be a five way runoff, and I hoped he would not end up in the runoff by the time the original deadline came around. I'm not sure why Viking considers him suspicious, but whatever. The cards will play themselves out.
I need to reread once the kids go to bed, then I will post more. Let's not forget about quacker but there is much more to go on based in the events of the day
