im really confused... theres no way its the rolling stones becuase that would be too easy.... although i think you might be on the right track by saying its a reference to where they're from... Bonnaroo just poseted it on facebook and said "it seems like the answer could be huge".... does that mean that it is huge or that it "seems" huge, meaning that its isnt really huge....
The Bonnaroo people didn't say that. They were quoting the person who found the clue. Let's try and not make things even more headache inducing.
well that makes it much less headache inducing. Post-work beer and bonnaroo excitement tend to make you hastily read/post things.
If this is supposed to be Mumford what the hell is clue 9 about?
i thought i remembered a clue being concluded as mumford...
and STS9 was returned for that search just becuase those words are apparently used in the article... other than that, none of them had any real significance. its most likely coincidence, but considering how ridiculous some of these clues are... you never know.

My only contribution is that "north wide plains" is a really weird thing to say. I mean, that's just a weird phrase. I feel like if you were just describing plains that were both wide and in the northern part of something, you'd say "wide northern plains." Even if they were trying to cut a syllable because they apparently completely forgot how haikus work, "wide north plains" would be more logical than "north wide plains." To me, at least.
Also, I am really sort of annoyed by the lack of proper haiku-ing, especially considering that they started this whole deal by laying out the 5-7-5 structure themselves...clearly they knew it at one point!
Run, run like the wind. - Some connection to The Guess Who song "Running back to Saskatoon" where they're from. On the North wide plains - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Doesn't get much more on the northern plains than that. Where the big stones roll - They won the contest to be on the cover of Rolling Stone.
The clue was at the Humane Association "guarded by puppies" (dogs, duh) according to the person who found and tweeted out the clue.

Apparently, they played Bonnaroo before?
2011. And I missed it because it was Just. Too. Damn. HOT!
It's a bit of a stretch on the first line, but the other 2 lines fit quite nicely! And the dog thing too! I like it!
Do you think they throw in these hints to make you think it's someone obvious? But the somewhat obvious choice doesn't fit all clues so it drives everyone crazy?
Mumford & Sons They have a song called "Roll Away Your Stone."
Rolling Stones The clue mentions stones that roll.
Even Paul McCartney Clue is found at an animal shelter/adoption agency. McCartney is big on animal rights. "Where the big stones roll" could have some sort of Stonehenge or England connection. Band on the 'run, run like the wind' beneath my WINGS. As you can see, this gets ridiculous.
Also, Paul McCartney had a dog named Martha which was...yes, an English SHEEPDOG!
And with that I have officially gone insane and need to go to bed.
Run, Run Like The Wind (Winter Winds) On The North Wide Plains (Their tour hit the Laramie Plains Civic Center in the high plains of Wyoming last year?....a stretch yes) Where The Big Stones Fall (Roll Away Your Stone)
Even if its not they'll be there anyways so we win by default. Also not a bad time to release this clue either considering they just won album of the year.

just some musings... run run like the wind -- hastened succcess north wide plains -- northern colorado big stones roll -- Rolling Stone magazine
Lumineers? They're from Denver and have seen fast success, and were in RS magazine last fall
If not them, maybe north wide plains refers to some (other) upper midwest state/area? also kinda sounds like it could allude to White Plains NY which is a northern suburb of NYC, but i may be stretching. the Sheepdogs logic sounds pretty solid though.

Yeah the Impala is faster than a Caribou anyway. But not the tame ones from the wide plains of Australia...
"On the north wide plains" Tho I guess Australia could be north if I pulled my brain out of my skull an put it back in upside down.
Dude. I don't think it's Tame Impala. For the record, every single guess I made on any of these clues was a joke. Unless Bjork is the answer to #6, though. Then I'm a genius.

My reply was a joke as well. Thus the . for the record, if I put my brain in upside down, north would still be north, sorry for the confusion, I'm not good at jokes. Lol
