before 2000 they played a least a couple texas shows a year. maybe it's just tricky tour routing? they seem to routinely do the SE > midwest/NE thing unless they are doing west coast.

I vaguely remember the 2016 and 2018 shows not selling out, so may just come down to demand
SET 1: The Lizards, The Moma Dance > Peaches en Regalia, I Never Needed You Like This Before, Funky Bitch > Tweezer -> Piper -> Soul Planet -> Meat > The Howling > Shade, Evolve, Tube > Sigma Oasis, Sand
ENCORE: So Damn Lucky, The Maker, Tweezer Reprise
This show featured two bustouts: Peaches en Regalia, which was performed for the first time since July 22, 2017 (138 shows), and The Maker, which was performed for the first time since October 15, 1994 (997 shows). So Damn Lucky also made its Phish debut at this show. Trey and Page teased The Lizards in Tweezer. Trey teased Tweezer in Soul Planet and Tube. Trey teased Smoke on the Water in Meat. The encore featured Dave Matthews on guitar and vocals.

nice seeing a bunch of "fans" pissed off about a dave sit in for a few songs last night. come on y'all, it's not the early 00s anymore, Dave doesn't have to be your mortal music enemy.
my favorite take is that "dave caused trey's addiction".
i was never a DMB fan and know very little of his music, but would've loved to have been there last night seeing Trey play live with his buddy. would've been a nice contrast to that weird VH1 special where they went to africa and were drunk the whole trip.

As a former DMB diehard, this would have been really special for me.
I also saw all the "dave caused trey's addiction" which I have never heard before and I find highly unlikely. would be interested if any of these people had some truth to it.

i wouldn't think too hard about it. i mean, they certainly partied together, maybe did opiates together, who knows? but nobody "causes" somebody else's addiction. trey already had that predilection and was in a touring band amidst a huge drug culture. his addiction was inevitable imo. if it wasn't dave somebody was eventually going to be the "get out of here trey, you don't want nothing to do with this shit" figure.

Any one have some tips on Dicks? Looks like I’m doing Friday to Sunday solo (my wife hates Phish and won’t travel for them) Better to find a hotel near downtown or near the airport? (Looks like near the venue is non-existent) Also, public transit doesn’t look like it comes close to the venue so I’m guessing Uber is the best bet?

Downtown if you want to do fun Denver stuff. Airport to save money. There is a shuttle that runs from some bar in downtown I think, Google phish dicks shuttle and it should come up. Ubers as you can imagine are kind of a mess after the show. There is a dedicated Uber drop off/pick up point.
There are hotels closeish to the venue. None walking distance though. I typically stay close to the venue and do a rental car. That's the easiest path but rental cars are expensive and I think it's $20 to park at dicks.
There are also CID packages for various downtown hotels that include tickets and a shuttle.

Thanks dude, I’m leaning on a hotel more towards the venue. I’ve done downtown Denver and wasn’t too impressed. I think I found a spot walking distance to the light rail, so if I wanted to head downtown I can. Waiting for an Uber isn’t the worst of things especially in a phish lot

If you go that route let me know, I'll likely be staying close to the venue (booked at the Drury right now) and would be happy to give you a ride before or after the show.
There is a slight chance I do one of the CID packages and skip the rental car altogether though. Depends on if I hit fields in the lotto.

I’ll for sure let you know what route I go. I decided to skip the lotto since I’m going solo and want to be field for all nights.

Kind of late now but there was a field only option for lotto.
That's what I did. Stands are fine if that's what it takes to get me in the door but I really want floors this year.
Just got my lotto email for Charleston. Got my 2 days tickets for 3 of us. GA upper bowl , no surprise on that but glad to not have to deal with that now

so damn it looks like they are changing how they do lotto? individual emails for individual shows/runs, with a summary email at the end?
since it's all or nothing, and i didn't get a wharf email, that means i also didn't get dicks, which sucks. was hoping to hit at least one in lotto.
good news is both public on sales are an hour apart on friday so that's something.

i used to have a lot of luck with phish lotto, but i haven't hit any tickets in the lotto since 2019 at least. but on the bright side i haven't ever been shut out of a show, always manage to pickup through public on sale or aftermarket.

with the lotto, is there just a certain amount/percentage of tickets they release each time?
Yeah I was super surprised to see my email yesterday. Thought it was going to be on Wednesday. Also very happy about the staggering of ticket sales. Buddy’s gonna get our MPP 2 day run and I’ll get our Raleigh shows and we will be set for 5 Phish shows this tour. I’ll reach double digits shows first MPP show. Noob numbers for sure but exciting for me. Excited for the return to Charleston. Ready for some good food

correct, phish has a certain allotment of tickets for their lotto sales. TM sells the rest during public on sale. i have no idea how many tickets lotto gets and how many TM gets.
and to update my previous post, i learned i still have a shot at getting dicks tickets. just because i was shut out of the wharf doesn't mean i didn't get dicks. it's venue by venue, not all or nothing.

I didn't even bother entering this tour it feels like I (personally) haven't had much luck in some time. God bless my friends who always put up with me for Halloween and NYE and enter (and win).

i always put in, even though i've been lawn'd many times. but it actually made sense for me this tour, since i don't care where my seats are at the wharf (whole venue is fine really, and i'll probably be wandering around anyway), and dicks is GA.
i try not to ascribe any meaning to the lotto, i intellectually believe it really is just random, but someone pointed out that it seems like people with big orders hit more frequently. back when i was always pulling for myself and my friends, i hit all the time. since i started going solo more and just putting in for 1 ticket, i never hit.
