I'm 43, my wife is 38....this will be our 4th trip to Bonnaroo from Canada (1st 2 years GA, last year and this year VIP). Coming along for the ride is my brother and brother in law (both in their 40's). I always say, age is only what you make it....if you listen and adhere to society...with each birthday....your socks grow closer to your knees....your pants legs become shorter.....you find your dresser quickly accumulating more and more polyester fabrics....and you begin to forget to take your black socks off while wearing your sandals.
I say to society......keep your expectancies to yourself....I'm here for the good times....not to fit into someone's close-minded box!
If fact, my plans for early retirement will definitely include a minimum of at least 5 or 6 festivals per year...none of this sitting around some all inclusive golfing resort for me eh!

Whats up to y'all. I have my sister and her husband coming this year, there both 35. I don't know what there going to expect. What can i tell them to make them feel more comfortable, for a little older gen. They have never been to any type of fest before, she has only heard my story's.
41 here, going to my 6th Bonnaroo with my 43-year old partner. For some reason, even though we live in Nashville, I didn't know about the first one in 2002, the only one I missed. We did VIP the first 2 years, '03 and'04, and I had a blast. Then we bought the Winnie (1985 Winnebago), and have been doing GA RV the last 3 years, going for the 4th time that way this year. Reminded me of the old college years full of Grateful Dead shows. And in '03 and '04 the Dead were there. I keep thinking I'll stop going; you know, try some other festivals without the heat, but the Roo is so close, and I love meeting the friendliest people. This guy saw me sitting in a low chair late night at a Trey show in '05 with a Glow necklace on top of my head. He lurched up, stopped, turned, and said, "I'm so sorry, I thought you were a trash can!" Lucky he didn't actually use the trash can yet. The music, the people there's nothing like it.
47 here and been every year. it's close from nashville and i love the community vibe and the music. i usually go with younger friends in their 30's. Given my low maturity level it seems to work out.

35 is YOUNG. Wait until your 35, you'll see what I mean.
