To compete, Idol promises Bonnaroo-bound concertgoers a festive late-night set chock full of his revved-up Reagan-era radio hits. "We're going to be doing our party set," the singer said. "A lot of the [set] is gonna be 'Rebel Yell,' 'Eyes Without a Face,' 'White Wedding,' 'Dancing with Myself,' 'Mony Mony' – the songs people know."
This is a great quote! "Party set!" as opposed to what? an acoustic set? emo set? all love for Billy and no negativity meant, he plays the same set except maybe 2 songs every night. now if he dropped a "Blue Highway" or "Kiss Me Deadly", then i'll buy he did something special for Roo! whatever he plays, it'll be a blast. steve stevens is a total badass...
This was one announcement i was so stoked about, but with such a once in a lifetime superjam, man, i may have to go with the moment. if superjam is so overrun, may be the Idol/Al split. but i have to look at it as the superjam will be one time only, and i could find another way to see billy or al. (there will never be another weird al show like THIS one tho! or Idol for that matter). such a brutal schedule conflict. staggering these would have been really nice, but i can't complain, i'll be there! in the words of Marlo Stanfield, "sounds like one of them good problems."
