Hi, so as it happens at the moment I am going solo to Bonnaroo but am not to keen on the 14 hour ride down there. I live in the UP of Michigan so if anyone wants a ride//someone to camp with or is able to give me a ride (i can meet up in mi/wi I just hate driving and am trying to avoid it if possible) please let me know .

I am in the Milwaukee area and might be going solo, might have one friend with me. If you want to meet up, I'd be happy to give you a ride. Let me know!
I live in Grand Rapids and am looking to possibly find people to go with. Assuming the friends I have decide not to go.
My friends keep going back and forth on whether or not they're going...But, in any case I could probably make it down to Grand Rapids if you're still trying to find people to go with.

That sounds good since Milwaukee isn't all that far from where I live. Just out of curiosity, if we did ride together how would camping work out, like would sharing a spot be okay?

I will probably know for sure in a week or two hopefully. But I REALLY want to go to Roo again for my third year in a row, and will find a way to go!!

Yeah I'm sure sharing a spot would be fine. There's usually enough room for a couple small tents in each spot I think. If my buddy decides to go, my car would be a tight squeeze for three people though. It would work, but the back seat isn't exactly roomy. But hell, I'd sit in any backseat to get to Roo! Can't wait!

Cool, I'm sure I can deal with it considering i just really want to get to bonnaroo

Have you guys considered tent only camping? That's what I'm doing.. great way to hang out with other people when going solo.

Depending on if there is room for me I would be willing to ride along as well I've got my ticket, I'll get there one way or another!

I'm sort of hoping to get a spot with someone with a car who'd be okay with me locking my camera and what not in it when I go to the stages (unless I figure out a way to sneak my DSLR in)

If there's room I think that'd be cool (also it would lessen the gas costs per person). I bought my ticket before even considering how I'd get down there... I'll hitchhike if I have to

Man, I wish I still had my Jeep! I have a two door Mitsubishi Eclipse. Technically, I can fit four people in it. With all the gear and shit though, I think three would be the max. If I end up going solo (which seems likely as of now) I'd be happy to cram as many folks as possible into my little bat mobile. I've considered tent only, but I think I'd rather just camp next to my car. We still got some time to figure this all out. I'll keep you both posted on my end.
I'd offer to give people rides I just doubt I'll have a vehicle. I usually can borrow one of my parents I just don't think they trust me with driving it all the to Tennessee. But if they change their mind I'll post it.

I hear ya, I'm renting a locker for my valuables. Last year me and a few friends split the cost for one. They are pretty convenient.

I may rent a locker. This is my first Bonnaroo so I have no idea how far away//secure/waterproof they are. Tent only camping kind of worries me because I'm 95% certain I'd completely forget where my tent is

Hey, my friend and I are also in the Grand Rapids, MI area and we're definitely planning on going this year! The main reason we've been hesitant about the whole thing is dealing with the cost of gas to get down there, but it would be radical if we either got more people to ride with us or if we could tag along with someone else driving.

I'm in GR as well and want to go. As of right now, nobody I've gone with in previous years is going.
So, I still don't really have a solid plan nailed down of who to carpool/ camp with so I'm just bumping this up in case anyone is interested.
Hey there - i dont know if you figured out a plan yet but I rented an RV and will be traveling from East Lansing solo... This will be my 4th 'roo but first camping solo, in fact first festie ever where i gotta camp solo. My best friend and his roommates that i always go with are all working the event so they are in the special employees camping area. Totally last minute decision to go this year bought my ticket and reserved a RV like an hour ago. If you (or anyone in michigan) needs a ride lemme know!

DESPERATELY IN NEED OF A RIDE TO ROOOO!!!!!! I'm from the northern chicagoland area but I can and am willing to drive to meet you anywhere (I would drive myself but my car is breaking down and won't make the long trip down to roo and back). I will pitch in for gas/help driving/bring lots of snacks! I also have a tent!! So yeahh if you have room in your car for one small person aka me that would be so lovely!
