I always take enough cash to last the weekend and only used an ATM once. I didn't have a problem with it, but several friends over the years have had issues with it not acceptin' their cards.
Most vendors outside the central merch tent do not do cards, but some might upgrade this year with the increasing availability of that thing you can attach to tablets and smartphones.
There are ATMs. I don't know about the fees associated with them though. I have heard the lines can be rough sometimes.
