That's definitely doable. My father-in-law and his friends do that with a big house boat they use to cruise the US rivers. They are working on navigating every river they are allowed in the US. They are musicians so they earn money along the way playing at places right off the river. They did the Tennessee River last year and played at a UT game right on the river. They have a few of them that own the boat via shares and they sell shares to people who just want to take a trip whether it be once or every now and again. I am not sure of all the logistics involved but they do it and it works. I also have a group of friends that do that with a bus they own that is used at events to either station out of or it can be used as a vendor truck where stuff can be sold out of the side.

If you could get some people to take charge of it and setup the LLC, it could be done. If you played your cards right, you could earn enough money the week of Roo to pay the mortgage payment for the entire year. You could also rent it out during other events at the farm throughout the year.

I don't have much money, but what I do, I'd offer to help. I'd also be willing to offer my services!

I've been waiting for this to come up.  Everyone was having so much fun I didn't want to spoil the party.  The LLC sounds ligit though. 

There are just so many unanswered questions.   There are lots of tennesee roosters and Kentucky roosters and the like, they would be able to throw wicked house parties there i bet.  I know most of us are adults and would be respectful but the owners might have to buy someone out.  And what if someone decides to use the address for a no no word delivery or something like that?  Will all the investors have their own keys?  At what stake are keys granted?  By the time you guys get everything figured out some dedicated wealthy rooster or saavy local business man will beat you to the punch!

 I am so glad people cannot dislike posts because that's what this would get.  Don't get me wrong, I think getting the house is a great idea, but there has got to be a very well thought out plan for it to be successful. I really think the minimum investment would have to be a thousand or probably two thousand  dollars, maybe even more to keep the riff raff out and too make sure all the investors have adequate use of the property for the roo.

I'm going to try to take a look at the place this weekend, just out of curiosity. If there were Bonnaroo condos, I would definitely get one. Just some wookie studio apt. sized thing.

Unfortunately the best way to make money off of the property is to rent it out during roo w a massive security deposit! If the farm could put together more festivals during other parts of the year the property would have more value renting during other festivals. It's hard to figure out why they don't use the farm for another festival. Or two. One in the fall and one in the spring. And one in the summer. I might be too.cold at night though.

I heard from someone who lives close enough to Bonnaroo to get free tickets (I'm three miles away from that luxury) that now if someone sells their house and they were receiving free Bonnaroo tickets each year, that it's agreed upon that the new owner of the house understands where they're moving to, how it will inconvenience them, and they don't get the free ticket(s) business. This house though is literally right there so free tickets SHOULD be expected. Manchester has really buckled down on the ticket situation. The whole deal is bananas.

Maybe we can buy this place and turn it into the new Tent Only. We'd definitely have space for brunch.

I make good money, and whatever the community decides to do, include me. I definitely want to be a part of whatever goes down.

That property is outside the city limits and will not have zoning restrictions. It can be used as residential, farmland, whatever.

How much is the selling price on the house. I can give y'all an estimate of what your taxes and insurance will be yearly.
