Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
You know its friday on inforoo when a thread titled "Alcohol" reaches the 2nd page and your all still on the original topic, and not a single gif, besides sigs.
There is ONE volunteer that a few of us with Rvs/campers have run up against in the GA line... and that deputy wanna be will make your life hellish intentionally. He will insist that the rules say OR Beer OR a handle OR wine.. and that ONE will make your life miserable, take the booze etc etc. Buy in TN and have a print from the web sight just in case.
Wow...what a tool. What other tricks does he have up his ass...er, in his bag?

He knows to look under Everything in an RV and does. I've never wished ill will on anyone, but this dude.. if i ever saw him again my knee would suddenly spasm violently upwards. Moral to this story is there is always one and if you don't want to risk ruining your Roo, play by the rulebook all the way in. Most know we are not youngings and still had one very very expensive roo.

Christ. Sounds like that guy has watched "Electric Apricot" one too many times.
If I ever wanted to smuggle a massive quantity of no-no-words into Bonnaroo, I'd put on black jeans and a black t-shirt and take a stroll across the farm one May midnight under a new moon, with a shovel and an NRS Boulder Box and the goods in question, and I'd bury everything in a nice deep hole and mark the location on my GPS and call it good.

I knew people that did that b4 at other places. I don't drink (anymore) and I don't want to make any $, but I guess I should bring in "my limit" for trade and gifting? Never ran into this b4 cr****
Normally I prefer not to indulge threads that touch on topics that have been covered so many times. However the title of this thread will get readers. Shall choose the wording carefully as I am not uptight regarding what others do, however I am a rule follower for my own behavior when it comes to staying out of legal trouble. Done more of my share of stupid things but avoid this ^^ as much as possible. Not for getting into points of law etc etc.. stuff happens oto even the old folks among us and it is unnerving when it does.
Not sure this has been mentioned in more current threads and thinking it is worth sharing. Despite the above, due to the ONE, have learning to share.
As you approach Roo and upon entry to Roo there are many opportunities for the law to intervene in your travel. Especially coming in from the north we see many many many cars that used to be full of young adults and camping gear, now spread all over parking lots and road sides being scrutinized. Hopefully you will have no concerns should this happen. In hindsight having traveled with several of our young adults, Shiiiittz can happen that you did not anticipate. Don't set yourself up to be freaking out if ^^ happens. Drive and Arrive clean!! If it does happen..
Suggestion... by the time you enter TN if not sooner - have your shoes ON - sunscreen ON!! (thankfully after 45 minutes in the TN sun with no shade whatsoeva' the lady sheriff allowed me to get the SS and apply it to all) - everyone have a bottle of water at hand and take it with you if you need to leave your vehicle - if you have meds that might be required in a stressful situation, have them on your person - ladies - if above situation, bring your pocketbooks with you - be polite and respectful!!!
And above all else - be smart and don't learn the hard way why the above points are important!
Yeah, I've got to say that I cannot relate to the worry that there won't be enough booze at Bonnaroo. A) I've learned that Bonnaroo is more fun and I remember more of it when I'm not sh!tfaced. B) The restrictions are not terribly strict. C) They also sell it there. D) Bonnaroo is not about worrying.
Leinenkugel makes a Summer Shandy that is great for the hot Tennessee sun. It's really refreshing and light....that's what we have brought the last 2 years......also I think they have an Orange Shandy.
Another passive Canadian here, will be my first 'Roo - just looking for recommendations for a quality beer to drink during the event ?
I've never been to the US and have no idea what we're getting into but we can't WAIT to find out!
Thanks,
Benny and the Jess
You will have to check out the Broo'ers Lounge in Centeroo. It's an enormous tent filled with a many different brewers, a number of them from the southern region. It can be pricey, but the variety is impressive. I'd love to know how much money I've spent in that tent in my eight trips to the farm. I'm sure the figure is eye-opening.

Last year the BROOer's tent had 'Superfuzz Blood Orange Pale Ale' from Elysian Fields Brewing; also refreshing and light. I have irritated many a liquor store clerk trying to get my hands on it again.

I guess we were lucky last trip down, but the guys insisted on taking all the alcohol in one car... when we arrived at the gate, I had one person in my car with all our camping equipment and food. the car behind me with four grown men, no camping equipment of the like just a trunk full of beer and liquor. the gate attendant just took pictures and waved us through

It would be a great pleasure to meet up with you and other fellow board members !
Looking forward to seeing the maps/schedule.. Absolutely amazed at the lineup in general, such an eclectic mix of genres and performers, - I can't quite imagine the diverse crowds that will be there soaking it all in!
Just a quick question, are "wooks" and the "nitrous mafia" fact or fiction ?

Ever since Magic Hat #9 started coming in cans, that has been my go-to beer for Bonnaroo. It's light and has a hint of apricot. The only other thing I have is a Guinness in the morning with my coffee because that's what I do any day I'm on vacation just because I can.

Wooks are fact, but they make up like 0.1% of the total Roo population. Since this is the alcohol thread, be warned that wooks will take beers from your cooler if you leave it out in the open unattended while you're in Centeroo.
