Green Bay has a 35-40% chance of winning against Seattle on Sunday. I believe.
The Colts have a 20% chance of winning against the Patriots.
I'm terrified of Aaron Rodgers.
He's awe-inspiring.
If by a combo of skill and luck, he gets to and/or wins the Super Bowl with a bum leg then this will be a legendary playoff run.
If it ends at Seattle on Sunday, at least he was beaten by a team that has a supernaturally good defense and quarterback as well. I'm anxious to see the rematch, I just hope he doesn't re-injure the calf during the game. If that determines the game, its a shitty way to end the season. Otherwise, its been great either way.

Rodgers had trouble with the not-very-good Dallas secondary last weekend when they dropped everyone back in coverage and he couldn't get out of the pocket and make time for something to develop. He is still one of the top competetitors so I'm not picking against him. Green Bay's talented secondary should give the Seahawks receiving corp some troubles.

That injury of his won't be helping matters either against this defense.

Right. That's what I'm saying. He still had a good game against Dallas but struggled in spots. The injury has me leaning towards Seattle making a return trip to the Super Bowl. I'm not confident enough to predict that outcome though.

I feel like you stopped watching this game sometime during the third quarter.
Whoever said 35-40% for the Packers this weekend sounds pretty spot on for a Packers team with a healthy Rodgers. As it stands, I don't give them much better than a 1 in 4 or 5 shot. If GB's soft-ass defense that has shown up in a handful of games this year shows up again, Seattle's going to straight maraud them.
I can spot a jinx attempt when I see one. I'm on to you.

Jim Tomsula hired by the 9ers. Get rid of a guy with 3 consecutive NFC championship game appearances for a guy who went 3-7 in NFL Europe as an interim head coach. That should go over real well with the locals.

This pleases me. I need the 49ers to sink back into obsolescence, and the Rams to continue their inspired run of aggressive mediocrity.

so you root for the Seahawks? Or the Cardinals...or I guess this could be a Rams fan post.

Seahawks. But I assume the Cardinals will stay decent, though I don't expect them to necessarily challenge for the division each year.
If Arizona stays healthy enough, then they're legit contenders until Palmer retires. I mean, they were 6-0 with Palmer and were 9-1 at one point, so they have a very good shot at first in the West or even the conference.

This is your brain on drugs.
Everything I said was true. And depending if Arizona gets Washington back, that'll see that Foote never has to cover ever again. Literally the only decline so far is Bowles leaving but I trust Arians and Keim to find a solid DC in his replacement. I mean, not gonna luck out on another Bowles but still.

Carson Palmer is a 35 year old statue who just tore his ACL for a second time.

I really wish you'd look at some of the articles out there discussing how the Cardinals are a regression case just waiting to happen, and how much of their success was built upon unsustainable win-loss percentages in close games. Basically, how their Pythagorean record is several games worse than their actual record, which is usually a signal that they're getting lucky. They're still a solid team with a great defense, but expecting them to be an 11+ win team isn't necessarily being in touch with reality.
I really like Sherman, and enjoyed his analysis of the Cowboys/Packers game. At least what little the article mentioned.
I did read that. I find Sherman endlessly fascinating. I understand that people who root for other teams often don't like him because he's cocky or brash or whateverthefuck you want to call it, but I think he's profoundly interesting because it seems like he sees right through the artifice and façade of the NFL. His media session with Cardboard Doug Baldwin was amazing.

Once Sherman got lit up by Odell Beckham, he became a lot more likeable to me.

I assume you're talking about that one 44 yard TD he got by him?

that's why I said until he retired. And they didn't do too bad with Stanton so it's not like they require a great QB.
