Oh, pay no attention to that. It's just the time honored tradition of Boston fans self-flagellating anytime things don't go exactly their way.

I just imagined Matt Damon reading this in a boston accent. Totally made sense then.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
Pretty much everything that happened yesterday should not be a surprise after this last week plus.
I have no idea what this means.
When the story broke that someone was murdered in North Attleboro and Hernandez was involved, it was likely going to be one of three results. The way the media was reporting this story, it was a slim to nil chance he had absolutely no involvement in the case once it was found out he destroyed his cell phone and surveillance system, plus had his rental cars spotted at the scene.
1. Hernandez did it himself 2. Hernandez ordered a hit on the guy 3. Hernandez knew who did it, was there at the time, and helped covered it up.
So the fact he was arrested for murder yesterday shouldn't have been a huge shocker.
Uhh...I have no idea what I have to do with this. That's a similar deal to the one Santonio Holmes signed. Holmes plays predominantly on the outside, but lines up in the slot for matchups.
As I already pointed out to you in this thread many times, he played outside more then the slot in 11/16 games last year. He's a WR, not a slot WR.
I personally couldn't care less about that video. Mark probably slept with both of those women, so it's not like you can really make fun of him.
Oh, and the hairband, the hairband is an actual 'story' up here.
Honestly, the editing is the biggest problem I have with that video. Good lord.
The hairband being a story is further evidence that some people need to calm the f*ck down when it comes to sports. That or the season needs to get underway already.
Yeah, it's pretty sad that the guy came out and said he's growing his hair out for Locks for Love and people still tear into him mercilessly.
I don't think it even needs to be said, but the hairband brought out the best and brightest in the Jets fan base when it came to rampant homophobia.
The anti-Sanchez/Jets rhetoric is so stale, but ESPN & the rest just pump it out because they think people love bashing the Jets. I have to assume that gets as stale as hearing the same recycled and awful insults (awful as in not funny, not awful as in hurtful)
that's cute that you think people care about the Jets.
Hate to break the news to you, but despite the amount of time people dedicate to making fun of them, the New York Football Jets NFL franchise is considered a 'flagship' franchise by the league office and is one of the 6 highest-valued teams in the league. And please keep in mind that the 32nd valued NFL team is more valuable than all-but 3 NBA teams, 4 MLB teams and every NHL team one NHL team (lol Maple Leafs worth a billion dollars). Yes, the Jacksonville Jaguars are more valuable than every non-NFL sports franchise besides the Lakers, Knicks, Bulls, Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox and Cubs and Maple Leafs.
People care about the Jets. Why? I couldn't begin to tell you, but they do. I wish they didn't, I wish the Jets went back to behind-the-scenes underdog types, but that isn't happening ever again thanks to social media, ESPN's bias and a loss of honor and respect in sports journalism.

Jimmy do you really believe that? Or do you just tell yourself that to help you sleep at night.
But if you really do believe that do most Jets fans up there think Ryan is a great coach ?
Fyi, Jimbo is a Giants fan, he just likes the way Rex does his thing.
Most Jets fans think Rex is a brilliant defensive coach (because that's basically indisputable). The schism is whether Rex is "just a coordinator" or a "head coach."
There is also internal arguments about whether he's good or bad for the team with his personality.
I'm firmly entrenched in "I love Rex, think he's a great coach, and think his personality is an aggregate positive for the team" camp.

I know the Jets have kinda flamed out and are rebuilding at this point, but watching the Pats dismantle them twice again this year will still be one of the best feelings in the world.
Rex is a great defensive coach but I don't think his approach translates well to the head coaching role. The rivalry is perfect because he and Belichick, who is the greatest football mind of the modern era, have such different methods. Bill keeps the Pats on an even keel so that when they inevitably lose, they are unphased. Rex on the other hand gave his team undeniable swagger (and it helped them win a lot if big games) but when you eventually lose a few games, an emotional team like that can really self destruct.
Did I mention the last two seasons have been glorious? Watching the Jets lose is more enjoyable than watching the Pats win.

I would not get my hopes up on any dismantlings this year, fwiw. Between Rex taking over the defense again (meaning they're going to start blitzing again...a lot), Mornhinweg taking over the offense, Geno ready to take over if Mark does any super derpy things and the team going back to an inside-out approach by reinforcing the OL (which was already good) and the DL (which needed a better pass rushing presence).
I don't understand why people say Rex's style doesn't work. It did work, two years in a row, with a dumbsh*t QB crapping his pants all over the place. Even after last year's 6-10 season Rex is 34-30 in the regular season and 38-32 overall. That's 3 more regular season wins than Mr. GrumbleHoodie himself.
Oh, and how is losing 29-26 a dismantling? The Jets could have (and should have) beaten the Pats in Foxboro last year.

Good luck with this clown. He was the one coach I was most excited to see leave.
if you didn't know any better you would think the Jets are a perennial great team based on flanzo'a posts. same with the Knicks. at least he doesn't pretend the Mets are any good.

Yeah, what a homer a-hole I am to think the 2-seed in the Eastern Conference is good.
And regarding the Jets, I said Rex is a good coach and hopefully their offense doesn't suck like it did last year. Not sure how you get the impression I'm delusional about the team, 9 wins would be a fantastic season for the team right now.

I'm fully expecting dismantlings. Rex was the head coach last year, it was always his defense. When you say they're going to start blitzing again, you know that plays right into Brady's hands right? And you say Geno is ready to take over for Sanchez, like that's a good thing? With an O Line like that, they'll both be getting baptized. That O Line is notoriously bad, especially on the right side. They were not good.
I don't know how you can defend the Jets. The new GM should already be fired for spending their top two draft picks on defensive players. The only redeeming quality on the team was Revis, and you just shipped him.
And I have NO idea what your math represents, but Belichick just won the division decisively 3 years in a row. There is absolutely ZERO chance Rex has won more regular season games in that time. That statement is 100% garbage. 3 more wins than Bill? Wake up dude.

Hah. You're right that Rex was the head coach last year, he was also the head coach when the won a bunch of playoff games (including one in your house) and nearly made the Super Bowl. What I had meant in my previous comment was that was more wins than Belichick's start to his coaching career, not in his past four seasons. I'm not saying Rex will ever come close to Belichick's success, but to act like one bad year means someone is a bad coach is pretty silly.
I know exactly what Brady prefers, which is why the Jets having 3 first round picks on the DL to pressure him up the middle is why the blitz would work (Rex also beat the Pats dropping 8 into coverage for an entire game, so let's not act like he's stuck doing one thing. Their OL was ranked 3rd in the NFL by PFF, btw, and top-10 by Football Outsiders. Mark holding the ball for 6 seconds and getting sacked doesn't make the OL bad.
I'm not defending the 2012 NY Jets season, because it was a train wreck. But the 2013 Jets will be better, and part of that reason is because they spent two early picks on the defense. They'll have a top-5 unit which will keep them in games while either DerpyPoops Sanchez or Geno struggles to do a lot on offense, but Geno at least has a chance to improve as the year goes on. And Muhammad Wilkerson is better than any player on the Pats not named Brady. I await your misinformed rebuttal about how Wilkerson isn't that good.
