What makes you say they couldn't possibly be talking about OSL?
Coachella is the only fest in CA that everyone knows. For a Radio.com nationally/internationally syndicated interview.... why would they tease around OSL like that?
Same reason they'd tease Coachella?
Though if I had to put money on one, I agree it's probably Coachella.

Or LA Rising, which seems to be kind of still up in the air and as-yet unannounced, which would fit with their whole "we might play a fest, don't know if there's anything going on in California" thing.
Nobody in LA even knows about LA Rising.
Unrelated, they do talk about LA Rising later in that interview. They mention how it was really cool to play in an olympic stadium as opposed to normal football (soccer) stadiums or smaller arenas. They said that the LA Rising show was inspriation for them to do their live DVD at an Olympic stadium. As someone who lives and grew up in LA. I thought that was pretty cool.

Is it just me, or is this comment internally inconsistent?

I know it's crazy, but Muse straight up may not know what US festivals they're playing. He may not being cagey, it's entirely possible he just can't remember.

Dude, I didn't mean for "Nobody in LA even knows about LA Rising" to be taken literally.
Lemme try that again....
Few people outside regular concert goers and festival fanatics knows about LA Rising. Or, maybe they know about it, but they would NOT consider it a festival. When it comes in conversation, it's more likely a random Joe would refer to it as "Oh, that Rage show that was at the coliseum.".

I also think few people outside of festival/Coachella fanatics would hear that quote and determine he MUST be talking about Coachella. Not that I'd put money on them not being there, but I don't think it's a lock.

That's where I'm at with it. I've accepted it as a worst case scenario, but it's just odd to me they would have 2 repeat headliners in 4 years.
Really hoping I can score weekend 1. I made it interesting by booking a car for weekend 1 and a hotel for weekend 2. How long after the line up do tickets go on sale? I may have to get the day off work.

I feel like it was the Friday after the announcement.

Yes! We just got Factory Floor confirmed. They released one of my favorite albums of the year and reside with DFA Records - the very best New York has to offer! So excited.
