I saw them rip a few RVs to shreds last year. I got my Durango searched with dogs and by hand opened and check every nook and cranny in 2010 or 11? They are getting worse but still not that big of a deal. Just hope you luck isn't as bad as mine.

If your car looks clean from the outside you will have much less chance of being searched. Put the coolers in an easy place to access and open them up when it's your turn in line. Numerous Bonnaroos and I have yet to even get a second glance. It's really no problem as long as you don't look the part.

Adorn me in feathers from dead birds;;
I feel summer creeping in and I'm tired of this town again;;
You are surrounding all my surroundings, twisting the kaleidoscope behind both of my eyes.
This is great info for every one who hasn't been recently and for noobs especially. Things do tend to tighten up as fests get bigger. The fake cops do not surprise me. I will make sure to be vigilant if not paranoid.

And don't let anyone drink in your car on the way in. I see people brazenly acting like idiots in line (back when they used to have lines to get in) and guess who gets the old rubber glove? Even though TN has really lax open container laws that doesn't mean they won't pop you for suspicion and single you out if they can. They want to have a smooth weekend like everyone else and have as few arrests as possible but there are a lot of things they just can't ignore.
P.S. a $4.00 drive through car wash after your 4-12 or whatever hour drive may seem like a waste of money before you are going to park in a dusty field for 4 days but if your ride is 'dirty', it might save your freedom.

Okay, questions: Is it safer/easier to bring in plain ol' corn on the cob (just enough for myself) or should I prepare the corn, maybe make it into a casserole? If I bring plain ol' corn on the cob, should I carry it with me or put it in the bottom of my bag or something?
Also, anyone know of any 24-hour touchless car washes around there?
I've seen some funny situations on how people bring things into centeroo. A volunteer searching bags found something in a guys camelbak bag and said, "Sorry, I'll have to throw this out." The girl next to him starts griping saying that people smoke and do whatever they want inside and it wasn't a problem, they should legalize, etc. Finally the volunteer yells, "Be more clever where you hide it then! I'm not checking your balls."
