The two things I am excited for most this Bonnaroo is LN Friday and Thursday. I haven't seen a Capital Cities thread yet, so I figured I would give it a shot.
Work's perfect into my schedule. I will be go straight from Alt-J for a good spot. I don't know how big the "Tap Lounge" is, but my guess is it will be packed out. They could have filled up a tent rather easily. The Safe and Sound video has over 2.2 million views and was the number one song on the Alt 18 (Alt Nation on XM Radio) for a month.
It's either them or the Vaccines for me. Very tough choice to make. I am really big on both of them right now. I heard the Captital Cities album is coming in June. If that's true, getting ahold of that may make my decision for me!

Such a pleasant surprise to see them late night Thursday. For me, this year's Thursday is the best I've ever seen, my schedule is booked all night and closing off with Capital Cities will probably be one of my highlights of the weekend!
I'm conflicted because Allen Stone is on from 12-1AM... Not sure if I should leave his set early or show up late to Capital Cities. I'll probably have remorse either way, but I am looking forward to them!

I'm stoked for this show! Definitely looking forward to finishing Thursday with this. However, isn't the On Tap Lounge ridiculously small? Like 200 people tops? If so, that place will be unbelievably crowded and most people would get shut out. They've been getting a lot of radio airplay here, so I don't see why they would get such a small stage. The lounge is the same place Valient Thorr played last year right?
This should have been on a stage, the overflow from the On Tap Lounge is going to be crazy, already over 1k adds on the schedule maker, can't wait to see this.
I think there is a slight chance that they get moved to close 'The Other Tent.' They currently have more likes than ALO does and there is a LN slot open in The Other Tent.
Last year I caught Cherub in the On Tap Lounge on Thurs LN (i believe, the days blend after going for 4 years straight). There was about 250-300 people at this show and it was pretty packed, it got kind of scary at one point because people were climbing the structure and dancing/hanging out on top of the structure while watching the band. At one point security made Cherub tell people to get down off the structure over the crowd because it looked like it was starting to shake and buckle. I'm hoping they keep this show on Thurs but move it to a tent.
I'm getting sad as I realize I probably won't see this set unless it gets moved to a tent, which would be really awesome. Though, I think I'm going to catch their show in Philly this week, and be a little less bummed about it.
Just want to update in here.. I just got back from their show in Philly. It was amazing. They are so energetic, and the crowd was SO into them. They do some choreography, if you want to call it that, for some of their songs, and they also got the crowd doing a dance too. They only have an EP out right now, so I only knew a few songs they played (plus a few covers), but I think it was better that way! And, I was so gross when I left the venue, and that's always a good indicator that I had a good time. If I don't catch them at Bonnaroo I'm glad I saw them tonight (last night? it's late). So yeah.. if you've been thinking about checking out their set, I would definitely recommend it, they wont disappoint!

Thats good to hear. Judging by there videos that I have seen its look like a blast.
I just hope getting there twenty minutes early will get me a decent spot.

They made a few changes last week to the Bonnaroo schedule, but Capital Cites was not one of them.
It would have been awesome to switch them with "The Vaccines" but oh well, at least there is nothing going on while there playing that I am interested in...besides them.

I am trying to find the Miller Lite Tap Lounge on the map on the phone app. Is it the Great Taste Lounge? When I tell it take me to the Miller Lite Tap Lounge it just takes me to a blue blob in the screen.
Pretty sure it is the Great Taste Lounge (used to be the Troo Music Stage when Budweiser was a sponsor), but you won't be able to get anywhere near the stage...I'm really disappointed Capital Cities are playing on this stage because it is going to be SUPER packed. I've only seen one show on this stage, but it was several years ago during the early afternoon. This is one of my top shows, and I'm afraid I will not be anywhere near the stage...but I will still be dancing my @$$ off!!!!
