The worst part of it all is that she seemed to have some talent at baking pastries. If she want such a stubborn delusional nut, she could probably have a successful bakery.
Ya part of it is sad. She truly truly needs mental help. It is amazing in a car crash on the side of the road kind of way.
DUDE/or DUDETTE i totally explained this entire situation in those words to someone. Like i hate to give someone like this the attention, because i'm sure in a way they are kind of loving it all. But at the same time i can't take my eyes off it. Also that episode is so full of cringe. Have either of them EVER eaten out at a restaurant. I don't get it.
Always been a fan of Gordon, and this episode was absolutely insane. I've never seen people so delusional. They're seriously psych ward material.
I still doubt that she made those pastries. I thought they looked amazing, but after seeing how their kitchen ran I just don't think she has the discipline to create pastries that looked like that. I'd be willing to bet there's some gourmet baking company she's bringing those in from.
Edit: Super excited that Master Chef is almost back on!

Chef Ramsey kept his cool, something I wouldn't have been able to do had I been in his situation. He tried, unfortunately that psychotic woman, as far as text book example, She suffers from paranoia and schizophrenia from what I can tell, the "everyone is out to get me" mentality is prime example of it. I'm sorry but if I had been in her position, The Chef has how many successful restaurants under him and how many years of experience?! And the owner saying he's doing all the work because he wont show anyone or allow anyone to handle the POS or money or anything and then keeps their tips. I loved how he handed her money and told her it was for her and only her right in front of them. that was EPIC!

This was even better than last week's episode about Chappy's on Church in Nashville. (Don't go there, kids. After seeing the walk-in, I thanked my lucky stars that I never wandered in there- and I LOVE creole food.)
I missed this when it was on... I didn't hear about it until the next day. We tried to look it up on youtube but no luck. From what I heard, Chappy is a certified a$$hole and the kitchen is nasty.
I wouldn't say he's an a$$h0le per se, but he's a bush league chef who has convinced himself he's an all-pro. His main excuse for his failing business is that the "people of Nashville don't understand New Orleans cuisine", as if none of us have made the 8 hour drive and eaten at real creole restaurants. He says that Nashvillians "can't handle" spicy food, but has no explanation for how well the hot chicken and thai restaurants are booming here. Chef Ramsay got his restaurant in proper order, and as soon as he was gone Chappy reverted to his substandard ways. As for the state of his kitchen, imagine the "most disgusting toilet in Scotland" scene from Trainspotting, and apply that to a kitchen. I am very surprised that he hasn't been repeatedly sued for food poisoning (if I had, for example, eaten there before and eaten anything fried in the same oil as the calamari, I'd have to use an epi-pen or an ambulance) or just straight-up shut-down by the health department. If you're on Church Street and have the munchies, Judge's Vinegaroon has a clean kitchen and good (not mindblowing, but still quite good) Texas style barbecue.
And yes, Amy was certainly phoning those desserts in. She can't even cook a freaking pizza. A Pizza!
The better part of the cancellation was the reason. Fox's lawyers showed up and asked them if they remembered the part of their contract where they can't go popping off at the mouth about the show without permission. Apparently, Fox wasn't joking about that part. Like "we'll sue you each for $100k damages if you say a word" kind of not joking.

Ya i saw that. I also read it wasn't working before that. Like ABC still has the right to come out and do a press conference, field questions, etc. The part of the contract you are talking about is about "bad mouthing the production crew, the producer or Gordan". But they still had free reign to promote themselves, their food, any changes they want to have/made etc. I read the PR company was not able to work with them outside of the Fox coming in for 100k.
With over 100,000 likes on facebook, the main stream news looking right at you, etc etc I would of kept the PR firm and had the conference and just not bad mouthed the show per the contract.

But you're a rational human being (probably).
In their defense, reports were that the grand reopening went off without any big scenes or drama.
Do we have anyone on the board that lives in Scottsdale Arizona? I beg of you, please go to this establishment and eat. Then come back here and tell us all about it. That is, if you live.
bacon is like 2 hours away. Why does he have to abandon us in our time of need?
I have never watched this show but, I tuned in because the local stations were hyping it. HOLY CHIT! What epic madness (the show and the aftermath). I've been in Mesa, AZ since May 1st and am tempted to drive up to Scottsdale to check it out, but....... I'z skurred of Amy, she's like an alien and might melt my brain ???

Ya I feel like this is a recovering alcoholic situation or something similar. If you just hit rock bottom and are trying to save face. You don't go back to pounding the bottle hard on day 1. I think this is a, "Give it 90 days then go back" to see real results. There is too much mental instability here to not continue that path without serious medical help in my opinion.

You don't have to go in or anything, just stand outside and pose for a picture while you drink some water. Because you have to drink some water.
