Time snuck up on me... I just realized Roo is only 3 weeks away. I've done zero prepwork. Does anyone else feel like they're running low on time, or are you all just pros and have it all figured out already?
I'm embarking on a dry run next weekend, where ill pack as if I'm headed to the airport for roo, but really just going camping. I'll know then whether I'm prepared or not.
Got a list of accoutrements to be purchased, that's about it. I have over-planned in the past, and started gathering my stuff too early, so I'm taking the relaxed approach this year. I'll start getting my act together the weekend before the fest.

Its about time for panic mode but I realized over the years that all I need is in the corner of my room. Ill just toss mas ammounts of undies and socks in my bag and im set. Ill get the rest of what i need at Walmart in Manchester so much easier to pack lite.
I have an itty bitty Roo pile that basically just consists of various items that I bought pre-Wanee or brought to Wanee... I have plans tomorrow afternoon to waterproof my tent (hasn't been done in 2+ years...) and at that point, I'll probably pull more stuff out. I will be away the next two weekends, so I really need to get going to make sure there isn't anything that I need to buy.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
See, that's my problem. I need to get in on the festival circuit, then I'll have all my stuff ready all summer. With three kids, we just can't find the time or money to do more than Roo right now. Ah, but I can dream...
I feel like I have nothing prepared. It doesn't FEEL like it's coming. Maybe because it's my first. It still seems so far away but I am, pay period wise at least, 2 checks away from Roo. I need to get on it.
who am I kidding. I'll probably end up packing the day before lol

I'm sure you can find a fest or two local and cheap (and family friendly)

3 weeks from today is my last day of work before roo! Which means I will already be on the farm mentally. And also not packed yet.
Ditto!
When does it normally hit you that it's happening? When you arrive on the farm?
Pretty much, haha. Usually doesn't sink in for me until I'm on the plane
My first year I went alone, and as I was driving to the airport I kept thinking "WTF am I doing?!?!?! I'm going to a damn farm in the middle of nowhere and I don't know anyone there!!" But it worked out way better than I could've ever imagined!

I might be a bad influence...
No, I like the way you think - Though I'm not too worried about family friendly... Bonnaroo is our vacation away. Though we are going up to Chicago to catch Lolla on Friday then spend the weekend in the city, so we get two vacations this year!

I went alone three years ago, after going with the same two friends for the five years before that. Since I was obsessively sharing the excitement with no one but myself I had everything packed weeks before Bonnaroo. My gear, food and clothes were triple checked well before time. I didn't realize until I already had my tent up on the farm that I had left ALL my clothes in a bag near the bottom of the stairs at home. Fortunately Bonnaroo puts me in a place where nothing else matters and I had a great weekend, while the only underwear I had was medicated powder, and the only shirts I had were my volunteer crew shirt and the t-shirt I wore in. I'm taking things a little easier this time in the run up to the festival.

Shade, shelter, basic camping supplies (headlamp, poncho, hammer), cooler and a backpack. I'm pretty much set besides things which will be consumed. I wait until I actually hit the road to stop and get food and booze for the long weekend. I'm pretty serene right now but I suspect a creeping panicky feeling will begin to settle in as each day passes.

I just realized yesterday that we're only 3 weeks from Roo. I've been so busy with a huge garden and tearing down and moving a pool and deck that it's all snuck up on me. I definitely won't have time to prep my camping supplies and evaluate what I have and need for at least another week. It's gonna be a rush job this year!

This is probably the longest I've ever waited to start getting prepped. I have my 'Roo corner started, but all my big stuff (coolers, tents, canopies, etc) is all spread around family members and friends houses. I need to round those up and I'll be ready!
