One of our cars bailed, so this now means 4 of us are coming in one car, and 3 more are flying in. This means there will be a minimum of 3 tents, plus an ez-up, but only one campsite. I don’t see how it will be possible for us to make this fit in one lot. Any suggestions how we can manage this?
We have always managed to keep all tents together, and we’ve never camped apart, and would prefer to all be together. I'm really bummed.
TO is what I was going to suggest, as well. Unless you get lucky and get camped next to someone who is going to TO. If you don't want to camp in TO, could you caravan in with an inforooster who *is* going to TO, and use their space along with your own?

In all seriousness, if you don't do tent only, I suggest making friends with your neighbors and explain the situation. Someone near you will help you out.

This is a very plausible solution onion! I'm coming in on Wed and plan on going to TO I'd be willing to meet y'all somewhere and caravan in w/ you so you can have my space.

That's a really nice offer, but we are coming Thursday (pre-noon)

I've done 3 small tents and a shade tent in GA with 2 cars - we had about 7 people. I think if you talk nicely to your neighbors and/or jump out of your car as soon as you park and grab space it can be done There is a decent amount of space in GA camping near cars.
This is one thing that I really think Bonnaroo should address. They encourage being green and carpooling on the surface, but it seems like they backhandedly discourage it by not offering more space to those with a large group of people in one car. I'll definitely be bringing this up in any after fest surveys I might get a chance to partake in.
But as far as your pickle, it does seem TO, renting a car, caravaning with someone going to TO, or just getting some super cool neighbors are your options. Good luck!

Damn. That's gonna be tricky. I imagine most TO folks plan on arriving before sunrise Thursday. There are a number of people who are coming in solo perhaps caravan with one of them?
Rothric I don't think TO will be a good option to rely on, pretty sure it will be filled by Thursday afternoon and trying to hold enough ground for 7 people until then would be tough.

Agreed, I forgot the OP said Thursday morning. Good catch
Why do you need a minimum of 3 tents for 7 people? The first year we came with a van full of poeple (6 of us) and all slept in one tent. A couple people could always sleep under your EZ up or in the car.

Just preference. Bunch of couples, and a touch of privacy is nice at the end of a long day of being herded like sheep.
Hm, I always go with other couples, but we just go with the flow: it's just one weekend! Herded like sheep...? I guess that's not how I view being at Roo!
Good luck! I hope you find a solution that works out for your crew!

I've done three tents and an EZ up with one car. Swing wide when you park, establish the canopy, and start building quickly around that. Two of the tents were partly under the EZ up, so we lost some of that space. With 7 people, it would've been cramped.
