$30 for Tyed Up? I can't make it to Roo this year, but I'll wear the tu around my housing pretending I'm there!
Absolutely!!! Sorry you are not going this year.. we are not either, by choice, sigh.
Actually can we make a deal? I'll send in the $30 in your name, (this sounds a tad inappropriate) you wear 'tyed up' around the house, and let me know what works and does not? 'Tyed up' is very experimental with water soluble air brush paint, beta Tu'ing if you will. Could be a or a . Would that be acceptable?

Sounds like a plan! It's sooo pretty! Excited to be part of beta Tu'ing!

YAY.. please PM me your addy, will respond tomorrow after much needed sleep.
Being lazy due to a long week of balancing work with amazing generousity and little sleep...
Bookmaker bookmaker make me a book? I am in need of a book to keep addresses that's more than the two pages long that I got free from hallmark for buying three xmas cards. Doable? Donation negotiable and above asking if it can be done.
chicojuarz thoughts - $30 for a book that can be used to keep addresses?
Good morning Fawn! I can make you an address book. I'll try and get that worked up this week before the Roo a Loo.

Thank you! No hurry, no worries.
Will catch up on the totals and work on the OP with links as soon as i can. NBF- the bandanas are SO soft and wonderful! Steph - poster came in today. It's awesome!! Glossy was the right call! Now to frame and decide where it shall hang.
I have already had people begin contacting me about silent auction items (thank you!), and tonight I received a message from a kind person who wanted to donate something. Well, I do not want to wait until brunch for this one, so I am posting it now. It can be delivered on the farm, or it can be mailed. We'll see how this goes & add an end date later.
Sooo, without further ado. Up for bid (yes, bidding) is a rare (limited edition) solid-cast pewter 'Roo pendant on brown leather cord. I know it's rare because I check eBay religiously for these things, with no luck.
So understandably the Glitch n' Groove ain't exactly flying off the shelf. Although I have more bent instruments, none of them have been thoroughly vetted and I'd hate to have someone make a donation for one of 'em only to have it die after a week. So beyond that I don't really have anything to donate...Yeah sure there's a garden house, an aquarium pump and maybe a 9 volt AC adapter but nothing interesting except for
Up for donation! The 2012 Life at Sea self titled album. No, you've probably never heard of them. The record is pressed on white vinyl and comes in a standard quality record jacket factory sealed. The album artwork was done by Neil Williams whose posters are a common fixture for many bigger shows in ATL (do check out his gallery this guy is SICK!) The album was engineered by Drew Vandenburg whose resume includes Wide Spread Panic, Cracker, Drive By Truckers and Camper Van Beethoven among many others. Life at Sea is a local independent rock band from Hotlanta. Their music sounds like rock. Give it a listen here. Enemy, High Tide, Light and Moon Song are my favorites and people seem to like Ride (i'm kinda meh on that one). Front

Action Shot!
I had a small part to play in the making of this record and the guys in the band are completely on board with donating some. I got about 25 of 'em on hand. At the shows they're sold for $20 so I think a $10 donation is not unreasonable. **IMPORTANT**DO NOT SEND YOUR DONATION VIA THE LISTEN LINK IN THIS POST send it to QSAROO as per the rules in the OP.
For the record, I also think the Glitch n Groove is fantastic. I remember watching your video last year and being completely in awe that someone could make something like that. Wish my mind worked that way.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Since I am so overwhelmed with things to do right nowb and with interviewing for jobs/fixing all the things that are breaking down around here, and can't seem to find the time to finish anything that I'm trying to make, I'm just going to send a donation that I would like to earmark for the Whoreshack fund. Look for it in the paypal, QSAROO.

Why thank you LLL! This one is kinda impressive If I do say so myself. I'd like to say that circuit bending requires a master's level knowledge of electrical engineering and the creation of this instrument required a great deal of pre-planning but...actually all you need is some basic tools, some motivation (exploring the circuit can be SUPER tedious work, I worked on the Glitch n Groove just about everyday for well over a month) and a creative streak! Bending is almost entirely creative experimentation, and you only have the vaguest notions of how an instrument is going to behave when you wire everything up, stuff it all back in it's casing and turn it on. It might just make a loud SQUACK and give off a little puff of smoke or it might do some really cool shiz! When I put the Glitch n Groove together and fired it up for the first time it was like Christmas, the 4th of July and my birthday all rolled into one!
I wouldn't sell yourself short, you seem like the creative type! Here's the tutorial that started it all for me several years ago. www.anti-theory.com/soundart/circuitbend/ Reed Ghazala's passion for sound experimentation is infectious! So be warned!
OK now back to Whoring for WHORESHAK
EDIT: Oh and provided no one makes a donation for it before next week I'll bring it to the silent auction. It's one thing to watch a video but nothing beats actually giving it a spin yourself. That's where the fun really begins!
I'm sorry to leave this so vauge, but customize it how you would like. It can be lots of (FAKE) flowers, a little bit of flowers, little flowers, big flowers, the same type of flowers, on a headband (flowers would only be on top of your head), on a piece of stretchy cloth (this typically goes over your hair/when you wear a ponytail, and the flowers can be all the way around or on a certain section), ect. Here are a few pictures to give you ideas. Or, if you want me to surprise you, that's fine too I can also make them for babies and children.
Minimum donation $10
I would love one on stretchy cloth with sunflowers all the way around. I'd be very happy to donate $50. Also, just generally speaking... you are all really wonderful people.

I'll be adding additional items later this week but for now up for donation are the following items.
Roo bracelet/anklet/camelbak decoration - you specify what colors you'd like & I'll custom make one just for you. What I have been doing is using three colors from each year I've been to Roo (2011, 2012, 2013), but I'll make whatever you like. I have blue, orange, & bronze Roo symbols to chose from. I will make as many as are wanted. Suggested donation of $3.
I will get five posters printed of this photo I took at the back of What Stage of Widespread Panic closing the festival in 2011. You can specify glossy or matte finish. You can choose 11x14 or 12x18 for an $8 donation. 16x20 or 20x30 for a $13 donation.
Is it too late to get one of these bracelets? I'll take bronze one for a $15 donation if you have any left

Never too late. One bronze bracelet coming right up. Thank you!
I'd like to pick up a new one or two during the festival this year, and before paying an inflated price to a vendor I don't know, I thought I'd see if I could locate one from an Inforooster through this thread. My favorite souvenirs from Roo are works of art I've bought from friends while on the farm, so it'd work for everybody.
