I know your out there, what will you be doing, or better yet trying to convince people to do with you besides watching Bjork?
I'm actually trying to do everything else, bjork is the only artist in this block that I don't really wanna see. I may stay at A-Track because I'll probably have a good spot due to the fact that I intend on being there for the end of four Tet to get a good spot for Matt and Kim. Otherwise, I'll go over to beach house, because I really like their music but haven't heard great things about live show.
I disagree, there are three good shows to see besides Bjork that are playing at the same time: Beach House, Dwight Yoakam, and A-Track. Plus, Cat Power, Comedy Bang Bang, Stop Light Observations, and The Lumineers, perform during part of Bjork's set.
my main "problem" is my ass is going to be glued in an awesome spot for Nas, but i can't tolerate 2 hrs of Bjork. FILL MY TIME!!! BTW camping in tent only find me and we might have some serious can jam going on
But I can't help myself but wonder if the people that don't like/respect Bjork are the same people that FB "like" Nickleback.
Sorry guys. Carry on.
ouch, that hurt. No, I just don't get it, I've even gone to the Bjork thread and asked what I can do to try to change that, I listened to her first four albums after being told that they were the best and the new stuff was too weird, end result... I still don't get it, I only like one song that she has ever made. And for the record I HATE nickleback, hahaha

Find me on twitter or instagram Fore34, do that and I'll be sure to hit you up right before Bjork goes on. We can jam out together, seeing as how we are in the minority with our opinion on the Bjork show.

HA!!! If someone is spending the money to come to bonnaroo and likes nickleback i pity the soul!!!! Bjork is an incredible musician and performer but trust me, WE DON'T GET IT!!!! Lets have a good time somewhere outside the stage i believe its been mentioned but im too lazy to repost it......Damn Scandinavians trying to overrun>>>Watch out for those Canadians, there dangerous, god damn dangerous!!!!

It was all a joke. Because who really likes Nickleback? Right?
As far as Bjork goes for me, she is one of the first artists that I liked by mylself with no influences.(Other quintessential examples are Tori Amos and Daft Punk) My father had been priming my ears and emotions to accept and respect music from every angle since I was a baby. And right around 95-96 I was able to branch out on my own and discover what made my 12 year old heart flutter.
Bjork is a strange being. There's no doubting that. But It's whimsical, and complicated, and pretty. For me Bjork, and the aforementioned artists, were what started my adoration with sounds and words that probably shouldn't go together and with out musical genius would sound like crap. Instead these broken sounds and non conformed vocals bled together in a fantastical romatical, glorious, far-fetched, weird kind of way.

And I love everything it stands for.
I understood it was a joke, I've only known one person to actually like nickleback and they were related to me... needless to say, we haven't spoken since, hahaha. And I understand why people enjoy her music, especially when they have a personal story like you, I'm just not a huge fan. However, I am that way with Daft Punk, I'm only 19, very musically advanced for my age due to my childhood, but young nonetheless, I had a similar experience with Daft Punk, but I was the only one of my friends that knew them because I was listening to their old stuff. Lets all just take a moment to admit how much we love Random Access Memories... ok, now lets stay on topic!
but beyond cheese and nickelback? wtf? they're both not worth discussing unless we are talking about baby swiss grilled cheese: trust me there are ppl that don't like bjork. If you do congrats go find another thread this one isn't for you
There's plenty of shiz to do during Bjork. There's not a gotdamn thing to do during f'n Mumford and Sons. FOAD
Can't argue with that. If you hate 'em that much then I say you eat once they start then go camp out a good spot for whichever of the first late nights you want to see... which I'm assuming is the Superjam. All that aside, go make a different thread so that you can cry about it there, then you can tell people to take their complaints about what to do during Bjork over here!!

See, now you've got me going. I have a small story for Daft Punk as well.
Once upon a time long ago and not so far away from where I stand right now I was a 13 year old girl. And I was invited to birthday party for one of my classmates at Rainbow Roller Rink. Obviously we were roller skating. And I was skating around all dopey like, with my heavy black mascara and my ripped jeans, becasue I was so quacking cool. The music was blaring. And I remember it like it was yesterday, it was a Depeche Mode song first. And then something happened. And it kind of went a little something like this...
And it was all weird and bleepy and electronic. And fun. And more fun. And something in my brain clicked. It was so good. So so good. Over the next few years I discovered more and more electronic music and then I attended my first Rave. And there are so many many random awesome memories that were created in my life because of that one birthday party.
It is really not that hard to find something going on during Bjork if you do not want to go. Look at the schedule, listen to the acts conflicting with her, and make a decision. I don't know why you need help with this. Take an hour out of your day and research the acts through spotify and youtube if you want to see what they are like live. You know what you like. Not sure we need a thread for this. Figure it out yourself

Nah. It's one week away and everyone is a little bit glitchy. I say, make threads, debate, be passionate. I like to think that people use this week to pump themselves up for the starry eyed shit show that's about to happen.

Listen up, if you want to be like that, this entire thing is pointless, I could figure out what to bring to camp at bonnaroo by myself, I dont NEED help with that. I don't NEED pages and pages of people listing their top ten shows or their "two shows they won't miss per day" or how excited people are that we have Swans playing at Roo. So take your foul attitude elsewhere, they wanted some other people's perspective on the situation, does it hurt you that they create the thread?! OK, didn't think so, now go back to giving your ever so appreciated opinion on other threads because we all care so much, oh wait, your posts are pointless like this thread, goodbye
