Hi everyone! I went to Roo the first year and now I am back. Problem is very few of my friends can get off work since we are all starting our grown-up jobs now There is two of us going down from the south suburbs of Chicago and we were wondering if there were anyone else traveling from around here who would like to meet up and caravan down together. Don't get me wrong the two of us are planning to have a great time together but from many years going to festivals, its nice to have a few more people around that you know a little better. Anyone interested?
Howdy--I just saw your post in the 'location' thread, and now I just came across this thread. Like I said in the other post, I'm from Mokena and am going to be truckin' down there with my step brother. I think we'd be up for ideas on some sort of caravan. You're right...it would be nice just to have some folks around who ya' know. I think a few of my step bro's friends are heading down also, but according to him, they may be trying to enter the festival using less orthodox means( :...so they probably wouldn't be up for tagging along. Anyway, go ahead and email me or try to to catch me on AIM or something if you wanna chat!
Hi there, glad to meet ya. I will look for ya on IM or I will email you if I don't seem to catch you. My friend I am going with lives in Frankfort so you are right inbetween! That would be really cool to meet up. I should be online tomorrow night and wednesday night for sure. BTW- I'm Amy.

this might sound creepy, but usually tour kids aren't too sketchy... so, yeah... Me and my best friend emily are wondering if anyone from around chicago needs a ride down to bonnaroo with us. We've got room for about 3. right now it's just me and my girl emily. we're both chill, not looking to rape anyone (j.playin around) or cause harm... just wonderin' if anyone wanted to tag along for the ride! Anyway... We'll be leavin' most likely on the 10th. So... IM me on: DreamingBetween2. or respond to this post or the one on my live journal, bonnaroo community, posted by: dreamingbetween. So yeah! Peace chillers! ;D
I-57 is just about 20 min from my house...and i'm taking it to I-24.....If you're leaving chi-town on wed evening we should hook up on 57 somewhere....
so any of you kids up for some caravan action, or no?
hey, i am still in! I know there's only two more weeks, but there's still time to meet up and plan something out if you are still down. Let me know. ;D

Haha...well good then! Drop me an email if ya want, and we can try to jive some sh1t.
Unfortunately I won't be leaving until Thursday afternoon/evening so I won't be able to join the caravan.
Aquariumdrunk: I saw that you mentioned going down 57. If you are in the Chicago area you may want to consider 80W-65S. This is the route I've always taken.
Hey Chicago guy here, we're leaving Wednesday around 7:00 and driving straight through. Hopefully we'll be good to go and won't fall asleep at the wheel.

Anyone else leaving at that time?
Possibly man...

Hey I will be driving through Chi town on the way wednesday sometime I think? When are you guys leaving I have an empty car if you want to ride together it would help me safe some gas money, that could be better spent on other things ;D Let me know
Hey I am leaving WI going through Chicago on the way would love to caravan or drop my car off and ride with some peeps. or pick peeps up if they chip in for gas. if this sounds good to anyone Email me at Chadstueland@hotmail.com
new departure time. we should be leaving chicago at 11pm at the latest wednesday night. we'll be taking I65.. it's faster for us since we live on the northside about 5 blocks from the lake.. we just take lakeshore south to 94 & hook up with the skyway to 65. 9 hours. if we were to take 57, it would take 10 hours. so... anyone leaving around that time?!
We're still sticking to 57 (according to IDOT, it looks relatively clear, and I know it well), but we're leaving at like 2:00 or 3:00 am on Wednesday, heh.

I'm from Central Illinois (specifically a small town off of I-57 called Mattoon) and am somewhat interested in a caravan. I still have to talk to my buddies about it, but I think they should like the idea. We're going down to Bonnaroo in an RV and I think we are leaving around 11 PM Wednesday, maybe even as late as midnight or 1 AM. Anyone interested in a caravan can contact me on AIM: ShamrockGuinness or just reply to this post. Thanks! ;D
I definitely know Mattoon, I used to have a good friend in Effingham.
As far as caravans go, I will once again be late to Bonnaroo this year, leaving as soon as possible after all of my crew is off work on Thursday. If anyone's schedule syncs up with that, let me know, but hopefully you'll be able to leave earlier than me.
