Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I talked with the Travel Channel/Sharp Entertainment folks. They are looking mainly for foods, but camps need to be really decked out with decorations. They loved the idea of all our bacon bacon and we basically said it is the official food of inforoo. Anyone want to work on Bacon Explosions?? Also, for those that are bringing bacon, let's think of more things to wrap bacon around - chicken/steak bites, hot peppers, any other veggies, and my two favorite - bacon wrapped bacon and bacon wrapped tofu
IF THEY PICK OUR CAMP - they will be there from roughly 11-1. I should know hopefully by tomorrow if they pick this event or not. We also need to have yard/tailgate games/other stuff going on in order to get picked. I will keep yall posted as to what I hear.
Those who want to try to be on the show will need to sign a release waiver. The exception will be group shots. Basically if they interview or have extended shots of 3 or fewer, you will need to sign off to be on the show. If you don't want to be on it at all, just be mindful of the camera during group shots.
I'll let my brother in smoke confirm, but it is looking like we're doing a 15 hour smoke pork shoulder for this. I've got the smoker and the smoke. Slashdot, once we're done with that (we'll take it off about 9am), you want to grill your apricot things?
I'm trying to do something neat with decorations for our camp, but I'm not sure if it is going to work right now (there is an engineering issue) so I hate to commit. If nothing else, I'll have a 15 ft flag pole covered in streamers
Alright we've decided on our food contribution for the brunch. In addition to a variety of Chicago craft beers, we will also be making biscuits and gravy. Mhm.

as a fellow bbq man......that is a serious commitment. i'm all for it, but wouldn't be upset with you if you changed your mind.
i don't mind checking it for you every once in a while if i'm at camp and you aren't.
one option to cut down on time. you can always split the shoulder. plus, you'll get a lot more bark on it that way. absolutely do your own thing, though. i never want to tell a fellow bbq'er how to cook their pork.

It's not wrapped, but I was planning on making "birds on a nest" with bacon, eggs and bread. I was going to cook them in their own grease. That's assuming my hands don't fall off making all these shots!
I manage a California Pizza Kitchen and have access to lots of porky goodness: An awesome fennel sausage, applewood smoked ham, Nueske's smoked bacon, pepperoni, spicy pepperoni, carnitas, capicola, and salami. Our Kung Pao Spaghetti served chilled is also one of my favorite breakfast foods. If anyone has a favorite entree/ingredient from my place that will travel well, let me know and I will try to bring it. I have some money on my dining card I have to burn through before July 1st.
Mmm...that fennel sausage & smoked bacon would go great w/scrambled eggs (or a frittata) if anyone is bringing eggs. Or if you can bring some pepperoni & capicola, I have a dish that would be easy to fix. You're awesome for offering!!! Thank you!

Ooh, all of that sounds amazing. We do have 8 lbs of bacon, so I would think the sausage or something else would be a good addition, but I also think there's no such thing as too much bacon. Heck, I would fry bacon and put it on bacon, then wash it down with bacon and bacon. I really wish my shirt with the pig on it saying "Mmmmm... bacon," wasn't dirty, because I would totally wear that.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think 5 lbs of that bacon is shared with one of the subgroups for their breakfasts, so we may not have the full 5. I might have missed a post or two though so i could be wrong.

I talked to my subgroup and we determined that we would put the majority of our supplies toward the Brunch (or at least that we would not need to cook breakfast for Friday and Saturday, thus leaving only Sunday for which we would need supplies).

Hello fellow VIPers! We will be attending our 2nd Bonnaroo this year, first time VIP. Very, very, excited. Love this brunch idea and the Inforoo community I'm seeing on here. Are we still able to add to/ attend this meal? Ready to fill the food/drink voids if there are any. Also, where/when is this awesome meal being thrown? Thanks! Seeya soon

You can definitely add and attend! It will be on Saturday at 11:30, somewhere in the Camp Inforoo VIP tent area. I will give more details soon.

Thanks a bunch. We'll try to bring some upstate NY flavor to the event. I'll stay tuned for more info.

Do we think we have enough supplies for the monte cristos (bread, eggs, cheese)? I am trying to find something that doesn't require cooking as I'll only have an ice chest. I can also bring some sausage or something like that, but someone else would have to cook it. Looks like we have enough utensils and nonsense like that. Any ideas, throw em at me!

I unfortantuley will not be able to contribute much; but I will lend our stove top, pots, pans, and cooking utensils such as spatchulas or cooking spoons!

Awesome! That's the one thing I'm worried we won't have enough of.
