What it comes down to is that while I prefer Laneway, I would want some company if I went. I would do Breakaway solo because it's close enough that I wouldn't mind the lack of company.

I really like Chance. But its almost like they want this fest to fail.... AGAIN. Overall lineup is....well really bad, ticket prices are ridiculous considering that lineup, and they don't even have a Saturday Headliner. Ugh.

A Friday day pass is definitely worth it. $50 is probably what you'd pay to see a chance show by himself.

$Friday is without a doubt worth it. But $Saturday is MAYBE worth $20 as a fest lineup. They needed this year to be really really successful to make up for 2014 (or '13?) and it just isn't there. Rae, Dillon, and Chance are the only 3 I am interested in seeing and many people will know absolutely nothing about at least 2 of those (those also being the biggest 3 acts). RL Grime is good but comes here fairly often, OOkay was just here and was so drunk it was absolutely terrible, Alison Wonderland is meh, Hippie Sabotage should be banished from earth, and Benny wont draw very many people.
IDK I guess I just hoped they'd at the minimum have 3-4 quality EDM acts and 3-4 solid hip-hop acts. Obviously just my opinion but I can't see ticket sales for this justifying Breakaway returning again.

I feel ya man. Saturday does nothing for me.
I'm just glad I grabbed two presale for only $40 each. I can at least get my money's worth Friday and then maybe wander over Saturday if nothing else is going on. Owell, I'll probably do Farm on Fire which will be 100x better anyways.

Young Thug tickets in Columbus were $50 as well. This is an okay lineup but a great price.

I play FoF every year!
NICE! Any idea who the other headliners are this year? KnK and Cashmere Cat are a GREAT start! I was justhoping they got somebody like Griz.

Pretty sure those are the biggest names you'll see. I can see roeVy playing again, but you won't have anything near a Griz caliber. I'd love to be proven wrong though!
Dang it looks like I won't be able to grab a Friday ticket. I just learned I'm signed up for a 5k at crew stadium that night. Hopefully I can hear some sets from across the street.

Are you kidding? I go to Ohio State and people think it is amazing for some reason, especially since Chance was added. I know countless people that bought tickets today simply for Chance. It's cheap as hell and it appeals perfectly to college kids with shitty edm and meh rap.

Yeah I guess I may just be disconnected from the college audience, I still just don't see them selling as many tickets as needed. Advertising has again been absolute shit for it, every announcement has been delayed, and Saturday still has zero headliners (and RL Grime/Young Thug are stretches to even be sub-headliners - unless I really just don't get the Young Thug appeal). I'll be there, but I still can't see them bringing Breakaway back next year.
It will be back next year. I know a couple people who bought 2 days passes just for chance. As for the marketing I don't think they've been doing that bad, the college kids have known about it for a long time.
Yeah at this point they could market only to Ohio State, and Columbus CC and they would be fine. Definitely isn't a festival where anyone from out of state would travel to though.

This is embarrassingly bad even by their standards.
especially after they kept advertising it as a "game-changer" and took it back to Mapfre Stadium. Hell, they aren't even using the inside of the stadium, just the parking lots. Absolute joke.

Prime Social Group is literally the worst. Breakaway 1 was cool, but you couldn't pay me to go to this trash.
