Wow guys, there are some really amazing photos being posted on here. Well done. My phone was dead for like a day and a half so I missed a lot of great moments but here are a few.
such nice dudes, literally waited until everyone around them got their picture taken with them.
Pretty sure I talked to this guy during Alt-J, he told us about Mumford cancelling. At least it looks like him.

This was my first Bonnaroo. I identified with the guy who posted earlier about it taking 10 years to get there. My friend, Chris, has never been to anything like this before. We had a blast. It was like heaven on Earth. I want to live there forever.
Our row in Pod 8 was marked with a Hodor flag. How can that be wrong?
Clever signage
Paul McCartney
We were very excited!

Bonnaroo Cinema. We saw the Michael Cera movie Crystal Fairy & the Magic Cactus & 2012.
Random strangers at Dwight Yoakum who asked me to take a picture of them. I hope they see this. It's a good picture.
Here is a link to my friend's video of the China lantern at Tom Petty. We were trying to figure out if it was the same one from the picture posted above. I think it is.
Here is a link to my videos of Paul McCartney doing Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da and Live & Let Die. (I wanted to record a few seconds for my mom to see but then ended up not being able to bring myself to push stop)

Yeah he remembers! We were off to the left of the tent. That is him, Fred.

These are some fantastic shots guys! Here's a few highlights I captured. Sadly my camera crapped out during Bjork and I didn't bring a back up battery what was I thinking?!?! The enormous crowd that began to gather before the gates opened Thursday.
The ubiquitous black helicopters that had "Pilot can at the queer of god" by the Flaming Lips stuck in my head all weekend.
View from camp. In front of the white gazebo was an EZup then The Arch. Super pimptastic spot! I could just chill and watch the lights do their think on the arch.
Wall art
John McLaughlin being legendary.
Exploding stage. Some guy that was doing a bunch of Beatles covers, he was alright.

onion, why is your Macca picture so awesome? You managed to catch a subtle crescent moon and someone dispatching a mass of glowsticks at the same time Paul blows himself and his stage up.

Thanks. Definitely one of my favourite pics of the weekend, especially because I was stinko drunk at the time, lol. I snagged that pic in between dancin with my croo.
Also, I never noticed the moon until you pointed it out!
Best thing about music festivals in general are the high fives.
Its something try to carry on in my real life on a daily basis.
Ha, I've jokingly thought to myself that I should be the high five guy in my office. Especially where my office is so multicultural (engineering firm) it would really throw people off, lol.
Some are as-shot, but some have a little post editing for sure. Pretty much all my daytime shots are natural (unless I wanted a drastic HDR look), with night shots being the ones that are more likely to be fixed a little bit (mostly to eliminate graininess).
I'm not that big of a post-editor, outside of the basic minor fixes (brightness/vibrance/sharpness), mainly because I am not that good at it, lol. I've yet to attempt using layers, despite that kind of being the standard way of editing.

Onion, I would like to think it is just the quality of your camera, but no, great snaps for sure. Mine look so pitiful next to yours but I might post a few .... Great job ... cr****
Just curious what you did to the Macca picture and the picture of the food vendors at night to make the colors pop. onion
Phi,
when I do night photos, to get those popping colors, it is mainly upping the vibrance in photoshop. this is from last year. a good example of it. I already trashed my Nef files this year since I was happy with my results and wanted to save space. Look at the blues and yellows especially on the floor of the fountain. thats where they seem to show up for me. Sadly, I didnt get a photo like this of the fountain this year. I always had my 70-300 lens on so I had to stand WAY WAY BACK. Edited and sharpened. I like a bit overly crisp image.
this is straight from teh RAW file. ONLY brightened a bit in RAW processing and then cropped
My very first Bonnaroo, and it was a blast! Definitely will not be my last. I have never been so happy in my entire life. I cried tears during Paul McCartney, Bjork, and David Byrne & St. Vincent's sets just because it was so overwhelming and unreal that I was really at Bonnaroo, and these people were seriously in front of me. Gosh!
Here's some of my favorites:
Reptar!
^ if anyone knows these girls, help me find them! Total missed connection
I love seeing all of your pictures! It's cool to see how everyone captures the mood of the festival. I've got a load of pictures, but my FB albums aren't public, so I'll have to upload them to flickr sometime so that I can share them with everyone.
edit: I also took some pictures with my Holga, but have yet to get the film developed. I'm anxious to see if/how they turned out.
