Posting stories of when it is easy get stuff in is something I don't think posting on the internet is great. Good things are not forever. Private security companies, fuzz and others read this. I'd let good things stay on the mum.
And the title of this thread is horrible.
You give LEO not enough credit. Someones spy's on us. Nothing said here ,I don't think was all that horrible, even the title. I had a good response from all the the shirts and LEO'S but then it helps to be old as dirt. I say kudos to the security staff. I do think it might be a bit embarrassing when you see all the Chinese Lanterns that were set ablaze go up into the wonderful Roo nights. cr****
Well like finding a girl you like and marrying her the next day I see little upside and a lot of downside. The benefits of posting "I could bring whatever I wanted in"? The downside? Seems super obvious.
I also think it is bigger then in this moment. If something goes really wrong in the future archives like this is what the media pulls from to show and highlight the problems that need fixed... Hell after Boston I learned all about a Russian Social Network/Forum boards with screenshots and all I'd of never known existed. I don't think it has to be close to Boston's scale to garner unwanted attention just using it as an obvious recent example everyone can relate to.
But yeah. The upside of posting this seems non-existent.
The Chinese lanterns were wonderful.

I got stopped by an unmarked LEO outside of Nashville. He was very professional, could easily tell I was 100% straight, and was just on my way to the Roo. It freaked me out, but in the end, he was doing his job as he saw fit. I didn't buy why he pulled me over, but I wasn't doing anything wrong so he had to find something. I didn't take off my sunglasses which is always a good idea, but you don't sit there and argue with them when you are 1 hour from the Farm ..... cr****
BTW I am that one that always marries the girl the next day lolz. It was never a mistake.....
only one day did they actually search and take things away. the two were saying they were staff and talking down about the volunteers. it was really annoying. otherwise, nothing was really checked.
EDIT- it was only a 5 pack of glow sticks and the guy in the line next to me got a sealed 5 hour energy taken away (I didn't get this one at all...it was sealed???)

Wow the searches in the Access area were way more intense. Bag inspections, pat down even one jerk checking pills to make sure they matched the prescription bottles - They did!
This is so damn true! Guy going in one day in front of me at Access had herniated discs and put all his pills in one bottle (to not lose them, hell he took 5 different types) and they made him pull every damn pill out an identify what it was. The search guy told him "what is this orange one?" he said Advil. Guy says "it don't look like no Advil" I explained Advil has ALWAYS been candy coated to my recollection. He still said "no it don't look right" and he had to call a supervisor over there. After 10 minutes with this one guy, they finally let him in. I understand checks but seriously...
After 3 trips in, most of them knew me by my Viking Horns and pretty much said come on through but I felt sorry for those who got the third degree in Access.

I guess I bring this up because the year before, we NEVER got searched. Not our bags, not our pockets, not anything. Again, I understand a little bit of a search but it is ACCESS! Some people need their meds and do not wanna take 5+ medicine bottles in their bag.

Rules are rules and Bonnaroo makes 'em pretty clear as far as what can and can't come into Centeroo with. I'd like to give some advice but a.) it's against board policy and I both understand and respect that b.) it's really not rocket science c.) you only learn from your mistakes. Good luck figuring it out! Now me personally I respect authority, I never break any rules...ever! I walk up to those bag checkers and smile at them confident knowing that I'm squeaky clean. Also I don't carry a bag so I guess that's cheating!
