Bragg and Tweedy apparently have some issues, so I doubt they ever play together again. But if they do manage to bury the hatchet, I'll be there on the rail.

Woody Guthrie Superjam
Get Wilco, Billy Bragg, New Multitudes (Jim James, Jay Farrar, Will Johnson, Anders Parker), anyone else that wants to be involved...
This requires Jeff Tweedy to bury not one but two hatchets, but it would be awesome.
(File under never ever gonna happen, but its a fun idea)

Yeah... keep dreaming. And in the most remote chance that Jeff and Jay ever did bury the hatchet to play together, it would happen at Solid Sound, not Roo. But Jeff has been known to hold some serious grudges, especially against guys named Jay.
I have also heard that, despite often being billed together, Tweedy doesn't like MMJ (supposedly calling them My Boring Racket) - so I wouldn't bate my breath for a collaboration. But they have been known to play together before, so who knows.

I like the idea of themes. Giving us a theme and one or two of the big names (preferrably the "leader" or "coordinator" of the jam) has been really great the past two years. I hope they keep it up.

Yeah me too. I also could see them going with a "tribute" kind of show. I think someone had mentioned a Grateful Dead tribute a few pages back and I'm sure that would be a big hit.

Everyone complained about the 08 themed Superjam, and that is one of the best shows I ever saw at Bonnaroo. Claypool and Gogol doing Tom Waits tunes was just weird and really really worked out well.
Let's rename this thread "Name your favorite musician!"
Sounds good. Paul McCartney Superjam 2014!!!
Honestly, I don't care if it's repetitive, ?uestlove should get a Superjam every year. Heck, I'd like to see Preservation Hall get one where they pick their favorite New Orleans musicians and do a true Mardi Gras theme superjam (the Dr. John was weak, imo).
I also fully endorse a Gary Clark Jr. or String Cheese Superjam Incident mentioned earlier. And I like Warren Haynes, but if we're grabbing someone from the Allman Brothers, Derek Trucks is the way to go. Maybe something with Tedeschi on vocals
Also, I don't know if this has ever been mentioned on here, but they fucked up big time not having a Midnight Ramble while Levon was still alive (maybe they tried?)

Yea, they should have tried to put something together after he played in '09. I would have loved to see that happen on the farm.
