Since Iron Maiden is unlikely, how about we continue the LN cover band tradition with the world's only all female Iron Maiden cover band, the Iron Maidens?

This was the first Iron Maiden song I ever herd. I was checking out live metal shows (after I found my moms metallica album and it pulled me out of my gangster phase) on youtube and came across a video for Fear of the Dark live. What amazed me besides the great band and Bruce's complementary vocals was the crowd. They were right there every word, every note, every scream from the guitar intro to the end solo. It was live music, and I loved it! Live music didnt have any meaning to me because rappers were generally horrible on stage compared to the sound and quality of the records they put on the radio. I was so moved by the following of the band and a stadium full of fans hanging on every riff that I knew I had to dive deeper into their cataloge. And im sure glad I did. Steve Harris is one of my idols (and a great lyric writer/inspiration on the bass) and the band itself is on my top 5 list. Maiden 2014!

The most impressive part of the crowd singing along with metal shows is that most of them don't speak English but can sing every word of a metal song

Maiden at Bonnaroo would be one of the peak moments in the festival's history, I seriously believe. I would love to see them in a Late Night What Stage situation. Mindbogglingly, history-alteringly epic.
Iron Maiden would be amazing at Bonnaroo, I think it's time they play a sweet LN set. They would sell tickets, a lot of Maiden fans (myself included) enjoy traveling to see them in unique places and I can't really think of a place more unique than Roo.
While I still wouldn't say it's "never going to happen", I see the validity in your point. However, I will say this. If you asked me in 2007 whether Metallica or Iron Maiden were more probable headliners for Bonnaroo, I would've said Iron Maiden.
I don't think they'd headline. I wouldn't consider them any more popular than Nine Inch Nails, especially using radio as the measure, and they did LN Which. I do think they're unlikely to happen just because they're almost always doing Euro fests in the summer and I can't see them packing up their huge set for a one-off in America when they could headline a metal fest somewhere in Germany for probably the same money and be in the area for another one the next weekend.
That said, if it ever did happen, I'd probably have to camp the Tullahoma airport to watch Bruce land Flight 666...
I will bump this thread with a task for my fellow Maiden fans...
Top 5 Maiden studio albums? 6 would be easy for me, 5 is almost impossible though :/
1. Killers 2. Powerslave 3. Piece of Mind 4. Iron Maiden 5. The Number of The Beast/Somewhere In Time (I refuse to leave either of these off my top 5 list)
