As an attorney, I consider myself a zealous advocate of the right of an unarmed teenager to go to buy candy and walk home without being stalked and killed by an armed vigilante. You disagree, and frankly, I'm a bit shocked.
We've discussed this for the better part of two days and if you still can't comprehend that I don't have a problem with "an unarmed teenager to go to buy candy and walk home without being stalked and killed by an armed vigilante". No matter how many times you say I disagree it doesn't make it true.
Right, you don't think people should kill other people, you just don't think the law should require people to not kill other people. Sorry.
This sounds a bit like an advocation for a jury to disregard law. Your assumption that they are addle headed or lack intelligence speaks more to your lack or a discerning eye than theirs. I'm frankly a bit shocked to hear that type of rhetoric from a lawyer. Aren't you guys supposed to be our advocates for the law not the disregarding of the law?
You're still here? Christ, I had hoped you had taken your backwards, amateur-hour Right Wing legal schtick someplace else.
I was hoping you'd take your righteous, I'm the smartest guy around here insults, and go back to over-billing clients. You are literally one of the biggest presumtive assholes I've ever encountered. I've never met you and you know jack shit about my political leanings or education. One thing that is publicly certain however is your backwards social skills.

You make no sense.
You apparently haven't read all of this thread or have poor reading comprehension.

You're not worth it unless your on you're lunch break or own your own practice. Right now someone is paying you a salary to work and you're on here proving how little you're worth.
Edited so Juggs doesn't put me on blast for fat fingering.

I know, it's a shame, I was genuinely enjoying a relatively civil discussion. I don't dislike people that disagree with me, it's generally an opportunity to be both introspective and informative. I'm not real good at eating shiz from bullies though so I guess if we're going to keep rolling down that road I'll likely respond in kind.
Gentlemen, I like a good debate as much as the next. At some point in any debate the time comes when, some realize, you just simply disagree. No matter how much sense you think you make...it will not convince the other party. It seems it has as reached that point. You can agree to disagree and let it go, like an adult. But I do jot think it does anybody justice to let this devolve into petty name calling and insults. So either let it go or continue in a civil way.

Oh come on man, your lawyer cracks were unprompted and uncalled for. Don't play the victim.

Juggs chopped off the whole state I live in. I chopped off his profession. I'm not a victim, that's why I didn't run in the other direction crying Juggs is picking on me.

Excuse me, but I posted that gif first. Credit where it is due, buck-o.
This reminds me of the artists who said they were going to boycott playing Arizona a couple years ago when they were passing through all those Gestapo-like laws. When it comes down to it, it's their decision, but I think they (and I include Stevie in this) are ultimately punishing fans for something they (the fans) have nothing to do with. How about, instead, he goes to those states and encourages people in the audience to petition their governments to repeal "stand-your-ground" laws?
Okay, you can pick one champion to fight for you from the Marvel Universe and if they lose, you'll be killed.
WHO DO YOU CHOOSE?
If someone names a DC Comic character I'm requesting one of the mods issues a warning level.
Good one, Druid - I wasn't even thinking villains side of the house. For me:
He is more powerful than people think, plus he's just cool as sh*t and has been my favorite character ever since I was 11 and hit a wicked existential phase.
Well, Cable was able to simultaneously levitate the city of Providence while also fighting the Silver Surfer, so I think he'd do just fine.
To be clear, this isn't the same Cable that started out in the Marvel Universe (whose powers were limited and his special abilities weren't as advanced as his fighting skills), this is the Cable that is basically one of the Greys and can time travel.
Opinions on the case aside, this really depresses me. I would love to see Stevie Wonder someday. I respect him standing up for what he believes in but I would love to have seen him at Bonnaroo someday since last year was my first year. Just have to try to catch him somewhere else.

The Spiderman fanboy in me wants to say Spiderman. But even I'm hesitant to put the fate of the universe in his hands. Can't I assemble a team? I'd choose Gambit/Dr. Strange/Deadpool/Spiderman. I'd sleep easy with my fate in their hands.
