I'll be watching. It's fun. I love the awards season.
I can't stand them most of the time. The only one I pay any attention to is the Grammy's and I would rather watch Big Bang Theory reruns than the Grammy's. I will check to see who won the next day, but that normally just involves me getting mad at the Americana nominations and then getting confused on what the Quack a new artist is according to them.
They do have a chance to redeem themselves this year by giving Jason Isbell the win.
At the end of the day my feelings on the Grammy's can be summarized by this: Neil Young has ONE musical Grammy every and it is from the single from LeNoise.
You're looking at it all wrong. The fact that it's meaningless and totally arbitrary are precisely why award shows are fun to watch. It's sorta like the BCS; who are they going to pick and what nonsense rationale are they going to use to justify it?
Plus there is some pleasure in sitting around going "people listen to this sh*t?" with a detached air of superiority.

See I can accomplish this in the 10 minutes it takes me to look through the list of winners and as a bonus I get to watch 3 hours of Big Bang Theory reruns (suck it Zapp)

The VMAs are much funnier than the Big Bang Theory.

Don't you dare insult Scrubs by saying it is the same level of quality as Big Bang Theory. I heard again and again about how awesome BBT was and how I would love it since I am nerdy. I was incredibly disappointed when I watched it.

I fast forwarded through most of this horror show and stopped to see what Kanye would do. Too bad he didn't get to perform the end verse of Blood On The Leaves. That would have been hot.
