Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Not really. Like I said, they have artists on there which definitely aren't playing Bonnaroo, but since nobody has summed up the reasons why in a handy little post they can copy/paste, they don't have them listed.
That's why I'm so so ready for February when the line up comes out that's when this board will get really interesting

"Neutral Milk Hotel is selling out venues across the country as reclusive frontman Jeff Mangum continues to revive his cultish 90?s band, and rumors swirl that, regardless of numerous southeastern appearances on the current tour, they are a shoe-in for Bonnaroo."
This should end the discussion right there.
edit: that article was terrible. it's just a list of bands.
Like I said before, Justice are my favorite musicians period. So seeing them on the farm would be a dream come true, but realistically speaking, it's not happening, they're taking 2014 off to work on their new album.
I've seen Zedd 5 times, twice in the last two months alone, he used to bang out cool shiz when he was with OWSLA. Now it's pretty cheesy commercial crap, but I wouldn't mind having him be at the same place that porter was last year, that set was fun. That being said, where's the source for Zedd being confirmed?
I agree with your statement about justice its just a hope but the source for zedd and m any other artists are all here nocountryfornewnashville.com/2013/12/02/2014-bonnaroo-rumors/ They are a very trust worthy site with spot on predictions for a lot of previous roo years

Just like any other site they're not 100% accurate but they are decently accurate when it comes to predictions

Is this your website or something?
Really? Did you really just ask me if that's my website? Wow

Their "rumors" post from last year basically just listed a bunch of bands that were possibly touring. It was worthless. Here is what they listed in that post: Rolling Stones, U2, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, How to Destroy Angels, Nine Inch Nails, Sigur Ros, Wilco, Dave Matthews Band, Beck, Portishead, the Flaming Lips, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kanye/Jay-Z, Wu-Tang, Daft Punk, Diplo, Hot Chip, Deadmau5, FlyLo, Atoms for Peace, Bon Jovi, Guns N Roses, Soundgarden, Jane's Addiction, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, the Who, AC/DC, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Elton John. They basically listed every single major name that could ever possibly headline, plus a bunch of random smaller acts which pretty much fell flat.
They later said that "safe money" was on Fleetwood Mac. Then tossed in the Killers, Black Keys, Prince, No Doubt, Jack White, Arcade Fire, Mumford & Sons, fun., Weezer, Roger Waters (with David Gilmour, which...Jesus), David Bowie.
If I'm missing where they are "decently accurate," or where they actually make "predictions" as opposed to just listing every possible band alive, let me know.
Congratulations! You have won the trophy for being the all knowing internet man! I'm going to start using you for questions instead of google! Goodness gracious bro calm down haha
This exchange right here is a great example of something I just do not understand. Chareths post was informative...but I am guessing because it challenged the original assertion the condescending snark had to come out...which led to an assertion that somebody's life is horrible ....good god! If you cannot handle somebody challenging something you said with *gasp* solid information, you may have a hard time around here. It is this kind of petty escalation that we need to avoid. Is this how people have conversations in real life? Anyway, please stop. Thanks.

I think this is an excellent example of what Flanz and Boner was talking about in the other thread. Someone asked a question and got an appropriate answer from Juggs then responds with bullsh*t. That has to get old for those trying to be informative and eventually, the knives are going to come out regardless of the established poster involved.

Thank you Dave Maynar, I understand that completely, I really do. And at the point "when the knives come out" we (as mods) need to step in and end it. Not let two or three more pages of inflammatory posts post go on and things escalate. I understand it gets old for people that post a lot around here, we are asking for a little restraint. I think new posters do deserve a little leeway to get a feel for how things work around here. Using this example...I would rather step in and let them know that responding to an informative post with snark and sarcasm will only lead to petty name calling and bickering. That is something we will not tolerate. Rather than let a regular poster rip them apart for 3 pages. Some will "get it" some will not. But please please please let us handle it instead of, not just pulling the knives out, but the elephant guns and tanks. We are striving to do better at that as a group (of Mods).
Yeah this is going to be my fourth time seeing him. Saw him open for Bassnectar last year and he was pretty horrible because he was doing more dubstepesque beats to compliment the headliner. Then after that I started listening to his normal stuff and got really into it. Saw him again at Webster Hall (that was alright but that place has more of a club atmosphere so the crowd was pretty lame). Then he blew me away at Camp Bisco this past year.. I honestly thought he was the best set at that festival.

It would be awesome if their was a PLM curated tent this year! Gramatik, Supervision, Michal Menert, and Break Science can all play!... Never gonna happen =/

I've seen Gramatik a couple of times and honestly have never been disappointed (but he was well suited for every venue and really just did his thing). I've now listened to 2 Gramatik tracks while typing this!
Last year some of my friends were talking about a PLM tent (or night or something of the sort). You do see a lot of PL + at least one PLM artist on festival line ups now! Usually someone that he is trying to give more attention to. I'm sure you'll see more in the future!

So to jump into this discussion waaayyy late with my wish list:
I would love to see Deadmau5, Skrillex, or Avicii in the "top" EDM spot, but those late night tent shows are where its at. Porter Robinson and Wolfgang Gartner back to back last year was crazy!!! For those late night tent spots I would like to see maybe Flux Pavilion (went to the Halloween Terrordome show in Nashville and it was certainly sick!!!) Funtcase, Datsik, Dr P, Roksonix, etc. The Circle One Crew are killing it right now.
Bassnectar "SUMMER CAMP! I've got New Years on the brain, and have been off grid like a FREAK nonstop in the studio, working on 2014's upcoming album. Meanwhile the summer festivals are stacking up, and the 1st to announce is that wild mobscene in the woods of Chillicothe, IL: ready for another beautiful ride!!! More announcements to come"

I'm always a little behind the EDM scene, but I have just started listening to Gramatik. Perfect for a Thursday tent closer.
He's amazing. Can't wait to see him again in a month. I know some people prefer his stuff with Griz, but I love just straight chill Gramatik mixes. Beatz and Pieces Vol. 1 has practically been my soundtrack all week.

Yes. Completely agree. He is always touring and always producing. Plays a ton of festivals, blah blah.
As long as he gets a full 120 minutes or more the guy brings it.
