Me too! It'll be my first show of the year. Also my first show ever at The Skyway. I've walked past it a bunch of times, but never been in there. Listening to and enjoying the new album right now.
where'd you get the new album?!?! i've been there a handful of times now, once you get in past some of the lines/clutter of the bar i think its a really cool venue. since it used to be a movie theater there's no pillars/columns obstructing your view. and the floor is slightly sloped and probably helps some people see. i'm not sure cuz i'm 6'-4" and can see over all the 20 year olds that will be there
Just found out that Flume apparently has a trap side project called What So Not.. Listening to it now.. I'm not really into trap music.. But I dig Flume so giving it a listen.

They e-mailed the album to those who bought presale tickets. Did you get your tickets from their website?
I'm 5-6, so a lot of those 20 year olds are taller than me. I'll enjoy the sloped floor.

This is why I love inforoo.... I had no idea that Flume had a trap project on the side.

I think Big Gigantic is much better live than on their recent records. The sax is great but the beats are waaaaay too generic. They're trying too hard to infuse dubstep and trap.
Listened to the new Big G album, wasn't really digging it. As someone said the beats sound generic, and i just want to hear more of the Sax part. I think i liked his other album more, because of more sax.... My friend and i always make a joke and say "the stock on brass instruments is real high right now", anyone notice that a ton of songs have some kind of brass solo part in it now a days? Not that i'm complaining, just funny to me.
I must be the only one who doesn't get the fuss over Glitch Mob's Big Gigantic's newest. Seems pretty generic to me.
Edit: Sorry, typed the wrong name in.
I took a cruise through the album this morning. SNOOZE.
The "trap" album opener is generic, pandering crap and the rest of the album never seems to find a voice other than "Hey, the kids like songs that sound like this right? OK, play ascending half notes on your sax."
Their live show is great but their songs tend to blend into one mess of a half-produced EDM track with a sax laid over it.

The last half of the album is amazing to me, shooting stars brings me back to the old Big G and my favorite Big G song in a while. Their live show really makes me fall in love with them. On another note, I would love to see the floozies at roo this year, I saw them open up for GRiZ and will be seeing them in Lexington,Ky at the end of the month!
Despite the lukewarm feelings I have toward their new album, I'd like Big G to make a return
Because a Big G live show is nothing like the album. improv at it's best
At a fest I went to last summer they had Gigantic Underground consisting of Big Gigantic, the Disco Biscuits and Underground Orchestra, and they put on a hell of a jam session

technically it's conspirator, but the disco biscuits. Almost though

Used wiki to confirm the other acts, poor decision.
