Because every act that plays Coachella ends up on Roo's lineup.
Well obviously not but since it's been awhile since he's played, he's doing another festival, and the fact he has a new album coming out soon makes him seem logical.

He's a possibility out of many possibilities, but not logical.

I'd like to imagine that if Beck is doing festival dates this summer, AC/Superfly would have been pretty quick to snag him up. There's a much crappier festival not far from my house (Firefly) that has Beck booked, so I'll be disappointed if they got him and we didn't.
I really enjoyed his show in 2006. In addition to being entertaining musically, it was also one of the funniest shows I've ever seen.
What kind of treat am I in for. The Morning Phase/Sea Change kind where I am going to want to zone out, or the more fun, sillier kind of Beck treat?
He spanned both moods at the show I saw at Coachella, but leaned a bit more toward the fun/silly. Here's the setlist, it was perfect:
Devil's Haircut Loser Black Tambourine Soul of a Man Think I'm in Love (Snippet of "I Feel Love" by Donna Summer) Qué Onda Güero Gamma Ray (Alternative Version) Soldier Jane Blue Moon The Golden Age Girl Debra Where It's At / One Foot in the Grave / High 5 (Rock the Catskills)

Amazing show last night at the LC! Crowd was pretty horrendus, at least around me, for the beginning of the show. Lots of talking and phones everywhere. At one point I literally had three people around me surfing the internet on their phones while beck was playing! Crowd got better as the show went on though. He really did go from one extreme to the other. At first he had me dancin my ass off, then he had me super mellowed out, then right back to boogyin. It was great! Also feel like I have to mention the sweet Billy jean cover they played. I would love to see him again on this tour! Go see him if you get the chance!! You won't be disappointed.

Beck found himself in a unique situation while in Detroit on Saturday night. As Billboard reports, the scheduled opening act, The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, canceled just hours before doors were to open at Fox Theatre. Fortunately, Beck found a quality last-minute replacement: himself.
The acclaimed singer-songwriter kicked off his show with a 10-song, 40-minute set “focused on quieter and more melodic material.” After a short intermission, he and his band then returned for a second, 16-song electric set featuring both greatest hits (“Devil’s Haircut”, “Where It’s At”) and rarities (“Get Real Paid”).
Check out the full setlist, along with fan-shot video of the performance below.
Setlist:
Set 1: The Golden Age Blackbird Chain Lost Cause Say Goodbye Dead Melodies Country Down Heart Is a Drum Wave Waking Light Blue Moon
Set 2: Devil’s Haircut Black Tambourine Soul of a Man The New Pollution Qué Onda Güero Hell Yes Get Real Paid Modern Guilt I Think I’m in Love / I Feel Love (Donna Summer cover) Soldier Jane Girl Loser E-Pro
Encore: Sexx Laws Debra Where It’s At > One Foot In The Grave > Where It’s At

Talk about an exceptional show, what reward for the dedicated fans that showed up early to ride the rail through The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger in order to have a good spot for Beck.. an EXTRA beck set, I'm thoroughly jealous
