Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Certainly an option, seems like hotel is the best bet but if they're all exorbitantly priced than camping may be the best bet
Camping sells out extremely fast, so you may want to book a hotel (that you can cancel) even if you intend to camp.
Figured as much. Problem right now is trying to find one at a reasonable price with a cancellation policy. Crazy how far in advance you have to plan for this, oh well, it'll all be worth it come April!
Roo camping makes coachella camping look like weak sauce, if youve done roo it is a piece of cake. Unless of course you opt for the hotels for the luxury of having AC with a shower, camping is definetly the smarter choice. Smarter for your pocket, and the time you can spend getting in and out of the fest or making quick between set beer runs back to your camp.
Yeah unfortunately to get any "deals" you have to guess the dates before they're even announced.
The order of priority items for Coachella goes: Hotel (immediately after the previous one), Ticket, .................................... Anything else
This. My brain has been occupied with Coachella thoughts until the presale. Now, I just have to worry about making pre-sale payments until October or so. It's a welcome but odd reprieve.
0% chance I convince someone I know into going. I am open to someone taking the other bed. I just want to feel comfortable with the person I share the room with.
Last year I went to Bonnaroo with someone I didnt know and it was a disaster. I don't need to be concert buddies but I don't want wind up with a psycho who lied about having money and a fake girlfriend with Leukemia. Once was enough lol.
I'm really sorry. I though we were telling campfire stories. The S'mores confused me and the sugar rush took ahold.
Now that the hotel and ticket are out of the way (for me anyway), what's next? Flights, rental car, cute outfit choices
I know it's like 11 months away but I feel like this will take a ton of planning and coordination. You guys know I start my 'Roo planning as soon as I get home on Monday morning, right? haha

It's obviously not a bad thing to be finding a good deal now, but I've been calling around and a lot of places haven't even opened up their room blocks yet. If people want a hotel it's definitely not time to panic

I ended up not going, but last year just a few days before the lineup drop I was able to find a room at the Motel 6 Palm Springs North for $80 a night. People cancel reservations as it gets closer. People need to just be diligent, there will be deals to be had!

Word. My ticket and hotel are taken care of, so I am just in the mode now of thinking out getting the money together and waiting for a better time to purchase a flight.

The past two years I've been able to find a RT flight out of Nashville for $215. Just go to Kayak.com and set a Price Alert and it will e-mail every day or every week with the cheapest flights. Once it goes down, I snag it.

You go to San Diego, right? When do you buy, February?

Thanks. I set one for Knoxville to San Diego. I doubt mine will drop to $215, but I would like to save as much as possible.
How difficult is it to actually get a week 1 pass on general sale day? I really would like to go, but I'm afraid of making arrangements before I have a confirmed pass to my name.
Any reason to fly into SAN over LAX? Or is it purely a price based thing?
I prefer SD over LA just because I like the city better. LA is just way too big for me and it would be really expensive to stay on the beach.
I usually fly in for Coachella to SD on Wed and book a hotel RIGHT on the beach for 2 nights for only $100/night then drive in to Coachella on Friday and book that hotel room Fri-Mon. Then I spend the Monday after Coachella back in San Diego in a $50/night hotel room close to the airport and Sea World and fly out Tues.
I'm thinking Brad has finally accepted that I'm going to Coachella. He did tell me last night that he would be cool with\excited for me seeing just about anybody at Coach, but if somehow RATM played again (not that we think that will happen), he'd divorce me.

You should tell him finding a babysitter would probably be cheaper.
