The Smiths have said no a million times to everyone. And, even if through some miracle they do get back together, I doubt they'd make their comeback at Coachella. Glastonbury seems more appropriate, both Marr and Morrissey have played recently.
I'd rip my own dick off and eat it if they get Cocteau Twins or Kate Bush and I'd damn happy with my decision as long as I'm going.
Also, just curious but how big (or small) was the crowd for Bryan Ferry this year?

Came into the Mojave about 15 minutes after the scheduled start time for Bryan Ferry and the crowd was came up to the beginning of the soundboard, with people sprinkled here and there the rest of the tent with most of them sitting
Just an FYI, you can now book rooms up to April 2015 on Booking.com. Most of which can be booked without any deposit, and free cancellation. Just scored a room Fri-Mon in Indio April 10-12 (banking on that being the 1st weekend) for only $400.

This. I was thinking about doing this but I wasn't sure when weekend one would be. I'll probably just book for that weekend and cancel if necessary.
If the hotel you are looking at is no deposit/free cancelation you can just book every single weekend in April
Bam! Just booked my hotel 11 minutes from the polo fields for the weekend of the 10th. I'm thinking that's when weekend one will be because almost every other hotel was already sold out.

Just the Holiday Inn Express (Indio) but I got it with no deposit and free cancellation so if I find something nicer at a good price I can cancel. I looked at a lot of the resorts but they were already sold out or were gay men's clothing optional haha

I booked a cheap spot but it's a bit far away. But a lot of places that were available last year after the presale, including where I stayed this year, didn't have their books open for April yet. Will keep checking to see what opens up.

$773 for Friday through Monday. Higher than I'd like but the close proximity (and free breakfast, let's be honest) made me feel okay about it. Especially if I split it with someone.

Oh awesome! I just cancelled my original and booked that one. 36 minutes away isn't too bad and it'll be nice to stay at the same hotel as some other Inforoosters!

Weekend 1, right? I'm gonna book now too, methinks.. Though if anyone wants to share a room I'm down for that too. =)
I think the more rooms booked, the better! That particular funky hotel has a pay later/free cancellation policy. Kind of like we did for moogfest/MOEMS (RIP ), it doesn't hurt to book a room if you're considering going and sort out the details once it all shakes out later.
Not 100% sure on the dates yet but we booked from April 9-13, with the thought that Weekend 1 will most likely be April 10-12.
