Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I am a big fan of the lockers at Coachella because I like to bundle up there at night (unlike roo, which is constantly hot as balls). It's nice to be able to stash extra warm clothes and a change of shoes, and especially good for storing merch (the fancy posters come in ridiculously large tubes) OR any contraband you are lucky enough to sneak in on day 1.
They also have a changing tent available, if you don't want to disrobe publicly or in a portapotty
Also, the lockers sell out pretty early every year, so if you're considering renting one you should probably do it within the next month or so.
And on that note, my next noob question! Tell me about average high and low temps at Coachella. I'll pretty much be wearing my festival standards during the day but I know the desert gets cold at night just not sure how cold.
The desert is super unpredictable. During the day the temps can be anywhere from low 70s to nearly 100. Even when it's been really hot, it doesn't feel as hot as Bonnaroo because it's dry and usually pretty breezy. At night it doesn't get lower than the 50s/60s, but when you've been in the sun all day that feels a lot cooler, especially if it's windy. I find a thick sweatshirt, closed shoes, and some leggings or pants keep me sufficiently warm.
You'll also want to bring a bandana or something to cover your face if the wind kicks up a bunch of sand. I had a cough for about 2 months after a huge dust storm one year.

It can get VERY cold at night, especially with the valley winds. I was shivering in 2013 and I can normally tolerate cold temps really well. I came better prepared in 2014.
Highs during the day are like 90 maybe but it doesn't feel bad at all cause there's no humidity. I've honestly never felt "hot" at Coachella before.
So basically how we were freezing to death at Voodoo even though it was about 50. Swell.

Well to put it into perspective, I don't remember even being cold at Voodoo. So I'd bundle up after dark at Coachella.

These locker and temperature tips are clutch, folks. My wife gets cold very easily, so it sounds like she'll need a hoodie or something at night and a locker would be the perfect place to put that and other supplies, like sunscreen. I never have to worry about the climate at 'roo because if it changes I can always walk back to my campsite. Since we're staying in a hotel for this, that won't be applicable.

On a lineup note, I may have written this previously, but I am very, very excited about seeing Ride, especially after seeing their placement in the Primavera lineup.
I saw this and thought "This looks cool -- Coachella warm up!!" Bought a ticket to this to stave off the wait until April.
Wine and craft beer tasting festival with onsite camping. For $85, you get GA admission plus unlimited tastings for four hours. For $30, you get tent camping Friday afternoon - Sunday.
The lineup is unimpressive: Slightly Stoopid, Ozomatli, Fishbone, and three other bands I've never heard of. But, I like Slightly Stoopid and I love Coachella-- so this event is totally worth the cost.
Can't wait to see that grass! Hopefully there will be Fresher's, too.
And this little tidbit was helpful since I recently moved: "LAST DAY TO UPDATE YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS IS FEBRUARY 15TH, 2015. AFTER THAT, THEY ARE AUTOMATICALLY GOING TO WHATEVER ADDRESS WAS ALREADY LISTED"
