I left tame impala early, the sounds coming from swans, with the clouds and wind, just made it such a surreal moment.
P.s. I was seeing swans the weekend after Bonnaroo, this is the only reason I wasn't there from the beginning.

there are a few sets I describe as "brutal", and I mean that in the best way. not necessarily because of some crazy pit or rough crowd or something, but the music is so heavy its just obliterates my mind, just injects itself into me and all that is left is the void and the intense sense of desperation that brings. and this makes me happy for some reason. swans was definitely a brutal set.
i was glad i had david and annie as a focal point, helped keep things real.
trying to remember other sets like that. i know i saw meshuggah open for ministry several years ago and during that set I thought the world was going to end. i would love to see meshuggah at bonnaroo.

Wonderfully put. The show I saw in Calgary was 2.5 hours, with less than 600 people in a small club. I'm pretty sure I wept as I left after the show, but with my face melted and all, I really couldn't tell.
Who gives a shit about festival owl/snob, forever Bonnaroo, etc? You're all ultimately using inforoo leaks. No reason to fight about taking from each other after the fact.

Like somebody said in here (or maybe chat), part of it is that some sites like to masquerade that they have inside sources when they are just taking stuff from here. It comes off as lying and self-aggrandizing.
The point Bacon made was more important, many of the fans of those sites don't do much research into things and take everything at face value. This leads to the potential of them getting really excited for the potential confirmation of an act and then ending up disappointed because the rumor that the confirmation was based off of was shoddy. For example, no offense to btbig, but he's new around here. He is probably telling the truth, but I just can't put as much faith in his confirmation as I would somebody that I knew like you or someone that had proven to be right before like papasteve. Ultimately, it just looks bad on the reporting site if they end up blowing a confirmation, but I am sensie and would rather people not go through the disappointment. FWIW, Forever Bonnaroo hasn't always sourced things, but they have done a pretty good job on rating the rumors on how much they should be trusted.
Like any rumor mill, it's gonna set itself up for inaccuracies. I think this stuff is just all in good fun. Even the wrong guesses are doing nothing but generating festival buzz and more importantly getting everyone excited for the upcoming year. I just think it's silly for these guys to be fueding when they're all essentially doing it the same way/in the same fashion. The Internet is a big place, plenty of room for festival TMZ coexistence. This isn't the Highlander. There doesn't have to be only one.

Looks like COS is doing some fine, self investigating again. What a lazy group of assholes.
"You do the work, we'll take the credit."
The new era of Jones Jupiter has brought about a new "I don't give a shit" phase, completely in contrast to whatever was making me an uptight bitch in Dec 2012.

Haha. I do find it interesting as to how they all develop different followings despite the similarities between them. Honestly, I don't do shit with confirmations. I am 99% sure that the only thing I have ever done is notice that knoxville.com had started posting pictures early one year, but that was the day of the lineup. I view myself as more of a social director around here (which is hilarious considering how introverted I am in real life). Therefore, I really shouldn't give a shit about who gets credit for what since I did none of the work associated with it.

I always go back and forth on how I feel about it. Sometimes I'm annoyed that others are acting like they did any actual work and other times I don't really care. I do appreciate the links back to us when they happen. At least these sites acknowledge where they are getting it unlike others in the past who would claim that we were simply "one" source and that they got their information in other ways (even though minutes after something was posted on here it was then added to their sites).
In the end...none of it REALLY matters once the lineup comes out. It does fill the time though.
Unless we get Miley Cyrus or someone equally asinine for a headliner it really doesn't matter to me anyway. It's just as much about spending time with my "family". Of course, on second thought, if the lineup sucks then a lot of my family might potentially stay home? hmmmm

"[–]gardenfresh744 Years 0 points 12 hours ago The Inforoo member secured these confirmations by email booking agents directly with a LIE of a story, pretending that his kid was sick or something and they needed to know in advance to plan travel. Last year the line of bullshit that he fed them was that his gf or wife was pregnant or something. His method of deceit was looked down upon highly on the board. I don't think it's right to get artist confirmations this way. It takes the fun and mystery away from Bonnaroo. And you are exploiting the artists' and their management by lying. If you ask me, that's not very Bonnaroo."
This year the story was that my seven month son was dying of rectal trauma but was hanging on 'til mid-June so he could see (insert band here) as he's their biggest fan. I assured the people that if he wasn't able to live that long then fear not for I'd mount what's left on a rage stick and bring him to the bands anyway.
Lolz. Can someone check gardenfresh for actual brain activity? I'm beginning to worry.

Ja, getting all the facts much less a single one right is indeed whatever. On an unrelated note, can you please stop pming me for footage of the Sasha abortion procedure for your own masturbatory purposes? Sorry! I speed read your pms! Maybe they didn't say that! Heaven forbid I take the fifteen seconds to be sure!
I don't remember his methods being highly looked down upon at all. What was highly looked down upon was 100 ppl emailing the same booking agents about the same acts. If we have one person doing it, it's less hassle for them to go through.
Also read the messages sent back "Thank you for the kind words". "Thanks for the interest"
I feel like if the dead baby on a rage stick email was actually sent to these people, their response would not be "Thanks for the kind words"

Plenty of people disapproved of my pregnancy which is fine. I'm an unwed mother and I get that someone would want to condemn me for my immoral actions. But if you ask me, that's not very Bonnaroo.
For what it's worth, I tweeted at Conspirator asking if they would be back at Bonnaroo and they Favorited it. I know this doesn't mean much just thought I would drop off the news here....
Just wait two weeks from now when we get new members signing up to tell us who was confirmed by these different internet sitez. That's always fun.
I was one of those people last year :/ festival snob came up before inforoo on the google search for "bonnaroo rumors"
Hey, at least you own it and don't mask your embarrassment with something like "the drummer's sister's best friend's cat told me! I totally didn't get it from Inforoo!"
