I am quite aware of that. It just seemed unusual that inforoo people who are usually very skeptical of such things especially when it comes from a newer person about a band that many would be amped for would just take it all at face value without at least asking who they got it from, i.e. a band member, roadie, merch guy, and if it was a straight confirmation or a wink and nod kind of thing.
No way to know for sure but he registered back in March and his only posts before this were contributions of mixes he made for the 2013 lineup. I know it's not much to go on but it makes me think he's not trolling. I just checked and see they played Quebec last night which is where he lives. Dude, tell us more about the convo! I hope you got to talk to Julian.

It was confirmed prior to today by the same "source" that gave us Elton John. But this definitely helps seal the deal.

Oh yeah, I agree it was an odd show of acceptance for a newer member's confirmation. I was just wondering how you wanted him to prove it.

For sure. There's no real way to prove whether it happened or not. I was more curious why people didn't ask about details since situations have happened before where people have gotten confirmations at shows, but when asked about details, it turns out they got the information from somebody who wouldn't necessarily know about the band's touring plans or the actual conversation didn't sound as definite as they initially led people to believe.

I hope they put them LN during the Nile Rodgers Disco Superjam just to piss everyone off.
I know crazier things have happened, but a LN anything would be such a wasted spot for NMH. I mean, I know nothing of their live show, but I just can't picture anything exciting enough that would warrant a LN set. I can only picture a 2am- 3:30 nap time set in the other tent. I really see them in a Sunday Which closer a la The Shins 2012. I enjoy the music this band has produced, but a LN Which or tent would just be retarded.
I'm drunk, and fully prepared to take back this entire statement if I'm wrong in judging their live show. Not saying it wouldn't be awesome, just a little too mellow for LN. Again, I'm tots probs wrong.

(Totally biased opinion incoming) I don't know if the show would be as boring as you think it would be. I saw them in Athens twice and once in Atlanta and they put on an amazing show. There were entire streaks of 4-5 songs where the crowd sang along to every word. It was pretty dang cool. I will agree they don't have the most electrifying stage presence, but dat beard and dem horns will arouse you like never before if you are a fan. Also if they get a late night I will officially forgive Roo for not giving Bjork a night slot.

Id enjoy a NMH late night. Late night doesnt always have to be insanely hyped could be anything, I personally would have insane energy and sing every word to almost every song

*Insert favorite band here* should TOTES get a late night spot. I like NMH, but have no interest in seeing them at 2 AM over other acts. They'd be perfect for what/which during the afternoon.

I admit I was behind the times on Neutral Milk Hotel, but after hearing them essentially confirmed I went and listened to their two albums. Very good. Glad to hear that they'll be on the lineup. I do agree that they don't really cater to a LN set. An early evening which set would be great.
Sorry for being so vague on the information for Neutral Milk Hotel. I was just withholding information cause I wasn't sure if people could get in trouble or not. I know I don't really have any credibility, as you guys/girls are just taking me at my word, but I wouldn't come on here any say %100 if I didn't believe it %100.
Also, this is my fourth year at Bonnaroo coming up and I would never get a fellow Bonnaroovian's hopes up.
