Spoke with Ed Williams of The Revivalists after one of their shows. Said even though they were there and played 4 small sets last yr, they will most likely be back on The Farm in 14. Not sure if this counts as a confirmation or not but I hope they make it back. They are awesome

I don't think it counts because they said most likely, more of a speculation.

I asked Ben Sollee if he plans on playing Bonnaroo this year and he said "only Bonnaroo knows for sure" and that "no plans as of yet" so I doubt he plays this year

I asked Art vs. Science on Twitter, their response was "Nothing written in stone yet but geez we hope so" and "dude I'm still wearing my Bonnaroo wristband".
With a new album coming out, and the popularity of their performances last year, they'd be a great Thursday act.

There is hope...
If they come back I hope they play several shows across the entire weekend again.

That said, I get it. All we have to do is look at the first post in the thread to get our answers. You have to read through every post and do all the work.

I might try to bug them about it again if I go see them in Pensacola next weekend. They were outstanding at Bonnaroo last year, and appeared to have a blast.
I took a shot and sent out an early email to Band of Skulls this morning, I got the following reply: "Yes they will be in North America although nothing is confirmed apart from the two March shows as of yet."

By posting direct info from the artist or management you prevent others from also contacting the same artist and annoying them (not to mention making this entire process more efficient). Thanks again for running this.

Yeah but this year we have a Bands not playing bonnaroo thread. Not sure if it's been done before, it just seems rather redundant to post the ones not playing, speculation, and the confirmations in one place when we have three separate threads for it. itrainmonkeys what's your take on this?

The bands not playing Bonnaroo thread is made of artists we have ruled out based on tour dates (and we've had that thread in years past as well). This is the confirmation thread. If you want board members to be able to confirm artists, they need to know who has already been contacted, otherwise you will have endless redundancies, piss off bands or their management, and ultimately this thread won't work.

Obviously I'm not ITM, but it has been done that way in the past and worked just fine. Certainly I think speculation and confirmation / disconfirmation address two very different topics, anyway.

You guys should really wait until after the 1st of the year to do this. It's just going to piss everybody off before they know anything.
