I took a shot and sent out an early email to Band of Skulls this morning, I got the following reply: "Yes they will be in North America although nothing is confirmed apart from the two March shows as of yet."
You guys should really wait until after the 1st of the year to do this. It's just going to piss everybody off before they know anything.
I contacted one band's management as a one off (I even acknowledged it was a bit early) because they just released European dates.

Ya I spoke with someone working on tour with John Mayer and he said there are no plans either way for the summer yet but plans will probably be made in the next month or so.

Says the only guy that cares about John Mayer.
We've been over this. It's been proven over and over again that 99% (according to the survey I just made up) of people who have taken the time to see Mayer live, wouldn't say no to seeing him again. Fight me!

They just had a Groupon sale last week (?) for Mayer in Richmond. Selling the seated tickets for $15 because they couldn't sell the venue. This has no bearing on how big he is, nobody sells well here. Just wanted you to know I was thinking about you. I almost picked you one up.

The guy I talked to on his tour was telling me about that. It's his second time through every market, supporting an album with almost no radio appeal, and between Thanksgiving and Christmas. They knew only the hardcore fans would buy tickets. CT and Brooklyn were the only sold out shows.
Well If that's all it takes for confirmation, I'm pretty sure HAIM's bassist confirmed they'd be at Roo 2014: Take screen shots of her every second for the SNL performance, then print them out. Throw away every second that represents a prime number, then load them up backwards and riffle through them with your thumb like a flipbook.

Weren't we putting Grizzly Bear as a maybe on the confirmed list with just favorited tweets as evidence last year? Don't see why this is any different.
Edit: Yup, they were put under "quasi-confirmed" with only a favorited tweet as evidence.
People really need to learn the difference between speculation and confirmation
You're really deviating from how this thread has been run in years past. A tweet asking about a Bonnaroo appearance that gets "favorited" by said artist isn't a confirmation, but has always been something we've shared in this thread.
@rjsonbeek15, if you want I will take over running this thread, the only thing I should disclose is that I'll be leaving the country for a couple weeks in January with limited internet access. During that time I probably wouldn't be able to update the OP.

I guess we can try to run it like in previous years. I just don't want to be getting messages about us constantly contacting/lying to touring agents and management groups. That's the main concern. But even so....certain things should be taken into consideration too. A "favorite" of a tweet to me doesn't necessarily mean anything. Could just be that the band/artists likes the idea of playing Roo.
It's a weird grey area. I did tell rjsonbeek to make it clear to people in here that we want actual confirmations and not speculation (like "Hey...gap in the tour dates...could be happening"). So part of this is on me. I'd say take a look through previous years threads and see how certain things were handled. I'll be thinking more about this though.

Thank you. I really liked last year's thread's design. I'm not saying Glitch Mob will definitely be there but them favoriting a tweet gives more credence to the idea.
The only thing "quasi-confirmed" about an artist liking a tweet that mentions Bonnaroo is that their twitter account liked the tweet mentioning Bonnaroo. It doesn't even confirm that the artist saw the tweet. It could be some random intern whose job is to run the twitter for all we know.

Not sure what that really means. There was one for Arcade Fire in Atlanta days after they went onsale.
Don't mean to further 'non-confirmation' this thread up

I really liked the way it's been run in the past. Liking a tweet isn't a confirmation, but it's not complete speculation either. It deserves being mentioned in the OP for exactly what it is. Honestly, the speculation thread is completely worthless in terms of things like cataloging this type of stuff. That's why this thread exists.

This. Favoriting tweets means nothing. Glitch mob "liking" a post shouldn't count as a confirmation, MAYBE it could classify as a hint, but I would say it doesn't. I''ll put it up if everyone wants me to.
This thread is turning into quite the little dumpster fire. Nicely done @rjsonbeek15
What's your view on the "liked" Facebook post, Horn?
It should be included, just use your judgment on how to categorize it and ignore everyone else. If you wait for only bands that you are 100% certain will be there, you'll get about 5.
