I had the pleasure of being on the rail for their 2010 set. That lineup of acts playing that stage was so good, that I just camped our there all day. Diane Birch, Local Natives, Neon Indian, Temper Trap, The xx,

The temper trap is so awesome. Really hope they're back soon.

Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

2010 was my first year and I'm pretty sure Local into Neon is what made me realize I love Roo. Such a perfect way to kick things off.
Yeah, I remember looking down dancing at the rail and when I looked back up there were a bunch of topless girls with native american garb dancing on stage.
Bonus points because neon indian came up in denton.

Tonight I spoke with Jimmy and Stefan of the band Caveman who put on a great show tonight in Hamden, CT! They opened up for Phosphorescent which also Killed! I asked if they planned on playing any festivals this year and they informed me that they would be playing Bonnaroo for the first time and Primavera Sound in Barcelona! I also asked if they knew if the other guys (Phosphorescent) would be playing... Their response was weeellll maaaayyybbbbbeeeee... with an added wink! haha soo pretty excited about seeing both bands this year on the Farm!
The Flaming Lips/Ben Folds + Friends doing a Beatles Superjam?
That would be amazing. The FLips have been a dream show of mine for years but I have never had the opportunity to see them. Them being in the superjam would be mindblowing. I'm not very sure how a Beatles superjam would go, but I'm sure it would be cool none the less.

Foster the People/London Grammar Festival Snob
Does Foster the People's show at the Ryman on April 25th make them less likely to play Bonnaroo? Is it typical for acts to play shows of that size a few weeks before Bonnaroo? The show is pretty much sold out already, so there's no concern about Roo hurting ticket sales, but it just seems like it will have less of an impact on the fest lineup. What are some of the largest acts that have played Nashville within a few weeks of Bonnaroo?
I totally get that this mostly involves headliners, but I think you might be underestimating their size. They were already a top 10 act at Bonnaroo with 1 album in 2012. Since then, they were 4th-billed at Firefly last year and 8th at Governor's Ball this year. I'm not exaggerating when I say that they could be a top draw for the younger demographic.
Once again, I'm asking, what is the biggest act to play Nashville and Bonnaroo within a couple months?

Paul McCartney did Memphis in May and Bonnaroo in June last year. It's Not Nashville but I'm sure it was still a big show and it's within the clause distance.
