Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I know you and I are antisipating the EDM portion of this card a little bit here and I like me some Classixxx and Chromeo and Disclosure but we need more than Zedd as well right? Darkside will be cool but give me another DJ or 2 no?
If Chromeo counts then does Cherub too? I think additions tend to be heavy on EDM/late night acts.
I'd probably put Chromeo in that category. I think they generally are looked at as that type. I guess the Bonnaroo organizers might not but they do sometimes just do DJ sets and not the full band. I am really pumped for them actually as well. I just noticed last year they had like Porter Robinson (saw him in the fall. really good) and A-Trak. But I don't know when they add the people later on or how big of names they traditionally do at that point
I don't really want to be in this fight, but it does kind of irk me. Not citing sources is unethical. I understand you're not a professional journalist or academic, but you should always cite your source material. It's one thing if you text a friend or post on your personal Facebook page about a couple acts that you're excited to see, but having an entire page dedicated to festivals that has many followers you don't know is much more akin to being a "professional" news source. I teach, and if students turn in an assignment without adequate sources, there are consequences.
I realize that this is all for fun and we all love festivals, but it comes off as self-serving to never post sources when all it would take to do so is to type an extra sentence or two. When the file names were posted here, they gave credit to the Lolla boards, and it took very little effort. If I were Phi (that is, if it affected a page that I ran), then I would be much more pissed than he is. So please, at least for the sake of your own professionalism if for nothing else, consider citing your sources.
(Sorry to inject that into an otherwise pretty happy thread! Bonnarooooo!!)
I usually always link back to inforoo and it tag it in the post. The only reason with this is because I didn't want to post the entire list. I agree, it's all for fun but I will for sure take your advice and put inforoo tags in there now. I'm really not trying to ruffle feathers, I do love Roo over every other festival and it gets me stoked to see this information. Can't wait to be back in Manchester.
And what MitchelBlade said is exactly the point you were missing. Owl. He just said it in a much nicer and mature way than me.
2012's lineup had 85 from the outset but added a lot of people.

To be fair, I haven't really seen your posts the past few days because my computer is in the shop, so I've been using my phone, so I was just going from other people's reactions. But yeah, I was kind of tired of all this back and forth and figured I'd inject my opinion. Thanks for taking it in stride. The last thing this place needs is more animosity. See you on the farm!

Point taken and corrected. Again, in this case I should have tagged inforoo from the get go which I have been doing with all other information coming from here. Again, super stoked to be heading back to the farm for the fifth straight year. It really doesn't get better than Roo.

Is this an accurate list from the knoxville website leak?
With zero research this is shaping up to be my favorite undercard yet.
Exactly how I'm feeling. Usually I discover a ton of bands in the undercard but this year I've got too many I know and love already and I haven't even begun to dig.
side note: we need a more relevant replacement for c*nt than Ann Coulter
I dunno man, seems pretty spot on to me. She is an insult to all women everywhere.
(She's actually an affront to decency and common sense but the joke doesn't work as well that way).
You could throw name like Palin out there, but I think she's just a whacked out insane person who 100% believes what she's saying. Coulter is an intelligent person who intentionally acts cunty for the sake of being cunty. I agree with keeping Coulter the word filter. I have them turned off, so I don't care what you pick, but that's my vote.
