I'm not sure what the actual date of this release is (google said April 25th), but Damon Albarn's Everyday Robots is reallllly good. Depressing as flip though, like damn I'm gunna put this album on repeat and cry in the corner about people that have hurt me in the past. I'll be back soon
I imagine this show will consist of couples slow dancing and then people crying cuz they don't have anyone to slow dance with.

Last month, I really, really liked Wovenhand, but I can't stand the Good Shepard. I think it bogs the album down. Ought was a breath of fresh air. It was a great surprise when I heard the whole album because when I heard the first single and thought they were little gimmicky with David Byrne aping and all. This may sound weird and it's obviously a different style of music, but they kind of remind me of Slint in a way. The Cloud Nothings record was really good, but didn't have the staying power of their last one for me. Todd Terje can be the greatest thing when I'm in the right mood. I still haven't listened to Timber Timbre.

so far I've heard tuneyards lykke li, and eno/hyde on npr first listen and they are all pretty good. going to have to stay diligent, while also getting my roo research done...
please add The Shadow Of Heaven by Money to the crib sheet, came out last August here but North American release was today. Signed to Bella Union, for fans of Wild Beasts, Jeff Buckley, Cocteau Twins, Mercury Rev, (early) Verve. Defo top 3 albums of last year for me.
