Figured this would've already been posted(and if it is, sorry I searched) This has become my local small festival for the past 2 years...awesome crowd and the venue is in a waterpark.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Does this sell out? Every year I put this on the maybe list (I think it's only 3 hours or so away from me)....
Its never sold out in past years but this is the only northeast ABB show and could possibly be the last year for this fest (unless Warren continues it). I imagine if there was a year for a sell out this would be it.

I'm not so sure about it being the only ABB show actually. Peach claims to be the only NE location where they play two nights. Mountain Jam has an unannounced headliner... ABB can easily fill that spot and Peach wouldn't be lying...

I guess I should rephrase that...the only NJ/PA dates for the year. I guess I forgot about the rest of the NE (oops)which would make them the perfect fill in for Mountain Jam.
Gregg says ABB wont be touring after this year too. ABB faithful will be out in full force for this one.
Definitely thinking of going to this this year after a couple years of maybe. With the waterpark and stuff does anyone have any experience bringing kids or know what the vibe is like for families?
45 minutes away, as long as I don't get lost or distracted by some shiny objects somewhere along the road... ill be back
This will be my first time going this year. Im going to be heading up Friday night think ill run into any issues being a little late to the party? Is the whole GA camping grounds tent only with a lot to park somewhere else?

yeah have you been to any shows up there??? parking is the same as any show, there's three parking lots that descend the hill in different spots. I think lot two is the vip area, lot three (at the top of the hill) is closest to ga camping which is located on the ski slopes. they run shuttles back and forth between the parking lot and venue. we didn't use them, the line was to long and we walked everything from the car in before most people made it on one shuttle... just keep in mind your not going to be able to do that if your parked in lot 1 at the bottom of the hill.
also make sure you have some juice containers or water bottles for drinks. the boys were pissed they couldn't carry beer into the venue but I didn't get stopped once carrying a large bottle of "orange juice."
How late does the music go for this? I'm assuming its over by midnight the latest. How many stages? I can't find much info about this fest on their website.

From what I read, there is a main stage (Peach) and a second stage (Mushroom) which is in the water park right by the lazy river.
In 2012 Friday & Saturday, Both headliners played 12:30-??? IN 2010, this was the schedule including "late night" starting at midnight.
Super excited for this fest now. I have a ton of questions if anyone can help me out. Doesn’t seem to be a ton of info on the web site. 1.) Camping- Do you have designated spots or is it a free for all? If spots, how large? Is there a limit on tent size? Can people have their own individual tents if they come together? Is there any electric provided in the camping area or are you only going to be able to charge phones, etc in the fest at the charging stations? Is there any market for campers to buy produce/milk/ etc.? Are grills/fires/camp stoves allowed? Are you allowed to have a tent and a canopy? How much stuff did you actually bring (gear/food/beverages/etc)?
2.) Vendors- What was the mix of vendors like? How was the food? Was it pricey? Did most people just eat at the fest or was a lot of cooking done at the campground? How about drinks? What adult beverages did they have inside and how costly was it? How much adult beverage did people bring to the fest themselves?
3.) Stage Setup- Is there a problem getting close for bands without reserved or VIP tickets?

the only negative is you cant camp at your car the walk is hilly and slopey.Bring a handtruck. I recommend arriving early thursday like before noon. With space its up to your judgement. to give everyone enough space for every 4 people 10x10 area is reasonable. I setup about 10-12foot ez up with spare room to give an idea. (the later you show up the less space you will find). They have a cafetaria with plugins for phones. Theres a wide variety of vendors and cafetaria foods but definitely bring munchies and or a grill for the campsite. The weather changes drastically due to being on a mountain hot days cold nights pack accordingly. The smaller of the 2 stages is literally next to the camping so you can hear the music from your tent. You should have no problem getting close for your favorite acts if you time it right. The main acts abb trey and tedeschi they usually keep the good seatng for vips. any other questions let me know it will be my third year very excited.
its about 5-10 minute walk maybe longer if your walking right before the main acts.
The later you show up on friday the farther you will have to walk or hike to get a spot. The walking isnt the bad part thats at every festival just the slopes may get to you.
Its an older crowd of ABB faithful, minimal wooks. Tons of good vibes. Everyone I talked to was super chill. Ive never camped (Im travel pkg) so I don't know what the camping scene is like. I hear the hill is pretty steep and you don't camp by your car. Had zero trouble with security, I found party favors there and never had a problem with anyone searching my stuff going in or out of the festival. I didn't see any young people over indulging and being taken out on stretchers. Since music doesn't start til noon and ends kinda early (1ish) there was always time to chill at camp/hotel before/after, We sat at the firepit after the first night with 20 people from all over and drank until the sun came up. I would think camping is the same scene. I cant imagine going solo would provide any difficulties for you, but if that's what's holding you back, I have a group of 6 going (were not camping) but you're always welcome to come chill with us.
Awesome Phase 3 additions. Way better than I had imagined. Trigger Hippy is great. Was hoping for Jackie Greene to get added to the fest. Rich Robinson is great. The Werks are amazing. Aqeous is a great local band up here. Solid all around. So pumped for this fest.
