Looking at buying a pen vaporizer, for use with flower material, no oils/wax. Anyone have any rec's? Willing to spend more for better quality. I apologize if this was covered already.

Definitely a few options, depending on what you're looking for.
First off, stay away from anything less then $100. For flowers, there just aren't options in that price range...yet at least. Can definitely get wax pens in that range though.
While I personally don't have any experience with the Arizer Solo, it's a tried and true work horse. It provides quality vapor, but the draw resistance is relatively high. The Solos can probably be had for $170, maybe even cheaper if you catch some sales.
Arizer recently released the Air. It's essentially the same thing as the Solo, just smaller and has a user replaceable battery. Similar draw resistance to the Solo. I believe the Airs go for $240 now, though they were on sale for $200 for a bit. No idea when they'll get that low again.
If you truly want to just to the top of the line, the Craft and/or Mighty from Storz & Bickel (the makers of the Volcano) are the way to go. They produce massive clouds, on a level above everything else I've seen (possible exception being the MiniVap). They are extremely easy to use, there is virtually no learning curve to them. You just set your temp, inhale, and blow clouds. Very impressed with the flavor of them too. They truly are plug in performance in a portable. There is also essentially no draw resistance either, very free flowing.
The Crafty and Mighty offer essentially the same performance (Crafty has a 27W heater, Mighty has a 30W). The difference is the Mighty has twice the battery of the Crafty, and you control the temp with an LCD screen. The Crafty is smaller, and there is no LCD screen. There is only one button, and you can set the unit to the set temp, or the booster temp. However, the Crafty connects to your phone via an app, where you can change what the set and booster temp are. You also have a few other settings available in the app.
The worst thing about the Crafty is the battery life. I typically get 4 very large bowls per charge. Keep in mind though, one bowl is more then enough to medicate even the high tolerance user. You can expect twice that with the Mighty. The Crafty is also powered via a USB plug, so if you have some battery packs laying around, you can use for extra juice.
The bad thing about the Crafty/Mighty are the prices. They are $400 and $460.
I've also heard some good things about the Goboof Alpha.
The Pax is known by a lot of people, but it usually has a fairly low reputation. I'd probably steer clear of it.
Just make sure you stay away from Atmos and all comparable brands.
Probably more then you wanted to know, but hope that helps! Happy to answer any other questions.

I actually just bought an Arizer Solo about 20 minutes ago, I watched a lot of online reviews and everyone seemed to love it. I got a deal on it too, brand new for $80!

Awesome! Can't beat that deal either. Hope you enjoy it.
FuckCombustion.com is a great site for vape info. They can have strict rules, but the wealth of info there is unbeatable. Definitely a great resource.

You'll love the solo. I've already had two and basically no complaints.
I got creative and came up with a new edibles recipe tonight. They tasted far too good to stop eating, and I underestimated their strength like crazy during the trial run... whoops. I wish I had some non-magical ones for munchies right now. Thought I'd share:
Add 3 parts peanut butter, 2 part Nutella, 1 part honey in a saucepan. Combine with however much ganja you feel like sparing and simmer on medium-low 'til you run out of patience, stirring often.
Add 4 parts muesli or granola, 1 part almonds, 1 part pistachios, 1 part white chocolate, and 1 part dried cranberries in a blender or food processor and pulse (feel free to get wild with goji berries or candied ginger or coconut or whatever - I only chose that combo because my supermarket sells them all pre-mixed). Combine muesli and nut mix with PB/Nutella/weed mix and stir, spreading evenly. It behooves one to get every last drop. Pour mixture into a container and flatten evenly until you feel resistance. Put in the freezer to set.
These are seriously delicious, potent, dead easy, and will keep in the freezer indefinitely… but most likely, weeks.
Dude's paragliding while sipping on a beast of a vape, the Crafty.
Hang and/or paragliding have always been a dream of mine. You know, boyhood dreams of being able to fly and all that jazz. Need to make that happen sometime.
Edit: 2 days ago was my last day to smoke for a while Gotta get clean for jobs.
Just made the trip back up to Colorado today and Its getting more and more evident that i will have to move here soon. Smoking on some Cheese, Blue Dream wax and some Hemlock live resin and eating some Kurdu bars. Life is good.

Tell me about it, man. Currently in the process of the job hunt! Enjoy all the delicacies at your disposal
So, as seen earlier on this page, I was debating a vape purchase and ended up purchasing an Arizer Solo for a really good price on ebay. Well, long story short the listing was fraudulent and it took forever to get my money returned.
Ended up buying a Sonic instead, and holy shit is this thing wonderful. Digital temp controls FTW! It's like a much smaller, better designed DiVinci. Ceramic chamber = zero combustion and pure vapor.
I've had a migraine since Sunday afternoon (going on 100hrs now), from Fair Day & Chinese New Year. It's been there persistently since, with the strength coming in waves. I can't even get any work done, and it's affected my sleeping patterns and even my appetite.
I had a couple Panadeine this morning that didn't do much; twenty minutes ago, desperate, I decided to scrape some resin (cornman ain't good 'til next week). I rarely use my grinder, but I opened it up on a whim to see if there was a wee bit of kief left... lo and behold, there was a fair bit! Toked it up, and the migraine is now gone - praise be to Corncat!

I am looking for a dry herb vape for a good price. Need something mobile, easy to take on the go...can be used in public (festivals, sporting events, etc) without anybody really noticing.
I stopped smoking for 2 1/2 weeks which was no biggie but once i stopped i started having some incredibly vivid dreams. I dont know if anyone else has had similar experiences. It was wierd, so i stopped all that nonsense. Now i got some tasty crumble in my Vaped pen. Today was a good day at work.

I quit recently for about 3 months and had this happen to me as well. At first it was cool but after a few days of these crazy ass dreams, I hated it! It really did suck. I felt like I never got any asleep!

Ok that was my big issue, it wasnt so much the dreams. Those i could handle, It was the tossing and turning and waking up at 3am in a panic.

This is the muesli bars!!!! Yas, I will be making some of this in the next couple weeks thanks sleepy!
So, not sure how many are aware of this yet, but there's a pretty amazing technique out there called Rosin. Think it's been around a while, but it just caught on big time in the internet world.
It's basically a way to make top quality, solventless concentrates, while retaining the majority of the terpene profile.
In a nutshell, you take some bud, put it in between some parchment paper (or SlickSheet, etc), and apply pressure and heat. The oil squeezes out of the bud, and you collect it off the parchment paper. The easiest DIY way is to use a hair iron.
People are getting 15-20% yields (obviously starting material has a lot to do with it).
Right now, there's a LOT of experimentation going on, higher pressure, lower temps, relative humidity, density of bud, etc. Just Google Rosin tech, and you'll come up with lots of examples.
I've yet to try it, but the results look amazing, and are supposedly way better the normal BHO or other concentrate methods.
So if you've been wanting to try making your own concentrates, but didn't want to mess with blasting butane, this looks like a winner!
This thread has a lot of helpful info. Skip towards the end for better results as people got some experimentation under their belts.
Here's the Weed 3 special CNN ran this past weekend. Definitely a good watch. It's encouraging to see how far we've come these past few years. I still can't fathom how someone can deny the medicinal benefits of marijuana. Well, I guess if they're getting a shit ton of money from the pharmaceutical and prison lobby groups, it makes a little more sense.
I'd never wish a debilitating illness on someone, but it does seem like cosmic justice when someone who's been blindly anti-MMJ gets an illness that is relieved by MMJ. Sort of like when the people that are raging homophobes end up having a gay/lesbian child. Suddenly it's different, because now it directly affects them. It's time some of these people learned how to empathize with people outside of their own experiences.

I also wouldn't be surprised if big tobacco has played a crucial role in delaying the acceptance/legalization of marijuana in the U.S. I still cannot get over the fact that we criminalize marijuana, yet cigarettes - arguably one of the biggest causes of chronic health issues and mortality - remain legal.

I think in the past, that was definitely true. However, I think they realize the coming tide at this point. There are quite a few large tobacco groups that are buying up intellectual property relating to vaporizers (not specific to ecigs). I think it's all about money for them. I bet they're gearing up behind closed doors to bring their offering to the table once full legalization hits.
