One of the best live shows I've ever seen. they're a must see on the farm, whether they open the What stage or have a late night tent - it doesn't matter, this set will own.

Given the rambling mystique around this band, I never thought I'd actually get to see them live. Seeing them in the middle of the day, under that hot Tennessee sun seems very appropriate.
So according to this press release from Sub Pop they'll be playing Thursday, Friday, and Sunday... Is there any chance of that actually happening?!

It seems pretty slim to me. The most I could see happening is two with their tent show on one night and a sonic stage set the other. I could always be wrong though.

I could see this show being a lot like Tame Impala's set last year: Sunday afternoon, everyone is tired from the weekend and still mustering out energy to get down to psychedelic music.

Same here Dave Maynar, when I saw their name up on the screen I was like "What?! No Way!" everyone else was like "Who the hell are they?" This is one of those bands on the lineup that if you don't catch them now, who knows if you'll ever get to see them again. Their bio is pretty cool.. Wikipedia: "Goat, though currently based out of Gothenburg, claims to hail from Korpilombolo in Sweden which, according to the band's own publicity, has a history of voodoo worship after a witch doctor came and lived there. Supposedly, when Christian crusaders came and destroyed the village the surviving people fled and placed a curse on the town. This has been described as "a lovely story, if possibly not entirely rooted in reality. The band started playing music when they were children, as part of a local community tradition, and there have been many incarnations of Goat who have recorded over the last "30 or 40 years". There are now three original "core" members of the band, from Korpilombolo, but in live concerts they are augmented by four other performers from Gothenburg."

That's why I saved a stash of some 'unmentionables' for Tame Impala.. I shall be doing the same for Goat
