Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Both of these use the bandsintown app. Are there any artists using bandsintown that list dates other than Thursday? Interestingly, they list Classixx for 4pm and Okkervil for 7pm, which could suggest they have specific info and not just a standard 7pm placeholder.
EDIT: Chvrches uses bandsintown and they have Friday @ 7pm listed rather than Thursday. Same with Die Antwoord and probably lots of others listed in the first post.
If this info is accurate that would likely mean Classixx would be the first band I see at Bonnaroo this year and that excites me.
I was hoping they would be a night act on thursday..like where capital cities played last year, but 1st would be cool too, it would get me in there early for sure

Capital Cities played the On Tap Lounge last year. I think those acts and the cafe acts are added at a later time. If I'm not mistaken, being on the initial lineup means an act will be playing what, which, this, that, or the other. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. i haven't been since 2011.

Vampire weekend just posted a date for June 12th in Raleigh North Carolina. I know that doesn't give us anything definitive but I think we have all pretty much assumed they would be Friday and this makes it seem more likely.

the 12th is thurs
That's what I'm saying is I think it makes sense for them to play the following day on Friday and not Saturday since that is locked in as Lionel and Jack. I guess they could take off a couple days and play on Sunday but I think Friday makes more sense. I don't see Vampire weekend on anything but what stage and I think Friday seems most likely, even more so now. How far is it from Raleigh to Manchester like 9 hours? Same time it takes from from Buffalo to Charlottesville and they play the next day.
A) he will have two LN sets B) the other Superjam will be against his actual set
these are developments I am A-OK with
What makes you think either of these things?
well, they aren't likely to put his main set during primetime non LN hours, and they definitely won't put his Superjam anywhere but LN
Given that Friday and Saturday are the only two nights where we have LN stuff, it seems pretty reasonable to say that the two Superjams won't be on the same day, and that Skrillex won't go on stage later than the end of the first post-headliner LN set, which means that the non Skrillex-superjam and Skrillex almost certainly should overlap.

I see. I think there are a few scenarios that could work out though. I don't see why Skrillex wouldn't go on later than the first post-headliner late night set. In 2012 the SJ was 12:15-2 and Skrillex was 1:30-3:30 so there was only a half hour of overlap; and they could easily push his set back a half hour so there wasn't any overlap. Or, they could do Skrillex 12:00-1:30 and start the superjam at 2. It also wouldn't entirely surprise me if they put him on the What - yes, it'd be earlier than what Skrillex and fans would probably want, but he's played afternoon/sunset sets at fests before, plus Bonnaroo is giving him the spotlight and letting him curate his own superjam so I can see him conceding a less-than-optimal playing time in exchange for that.

You could absolutely be right about this, but I see it a different way. I think the Superjam is guaranteed to be a late night show, but his main/solo set could be either late night or daytime on the Main Stage.
When Roo is booking acts a second or third time, they seem to move them around a bit when it comes to scheduling. Seems like they want to create a different experience overall. Have they ever had the same act play multiple LN Which sets? Not that I'm aware of, but it could have happened. Would Skrillex be the first DJ set ever on the main stage?
There are a lot of artists that have followed a similar path with Roo, jumping from the tents to the Which to the main stage. MMJ, Gov't Mule, Galactic, Trombone Shorty, all that stuff. I think the organizers are very conscious of that progression. I also think it would be lame to have Skrillex do the same shit on the Which stage two years later. That's a prestigious slot to repeat the same show 2 out of 3 years.

I can't confirm this one way or the other, but I'm pretty sure Houndmouth was on the initial lineup last year and they played the miller lite lounge.

This is a few days late, but how big is Skrillex's fan base? Pretty big right? Could they even fit him on the Which? I definitely see them doing an early-ish spot on the What in trade for curating the LN Superjam. However, if they do put him on the What, when would be play? I think Vampire Weekend is our pre HL on Friday, & we know Lionel is pre HL saturday... So if he played the What I have no idea when he'd play, which is what is really throwing me off with all of this.
Regardless, I'm not a Skrillex fan so I don't really care where his solo set is other than what kind of spot he's taking up. If he takes a good spot on the What and someone I like more gets put on the Which or something I'll be disappointed. I'll be at the Superjam though, I'm interested to see who his "friends" are...
Also, has a Superjam ever been on the Which? Last year was my first year so I don't know such things. Where would his Superjam be if they put his solo on the What?
Edit: I'm talking about all this like I'm actually going to be attending these shows. I gotta snap out of this and accept that I will be seeing about 5% of the shows this year...
