I have a friend who wasn't set on going until she saw Jack White was on the lineup....when the lineup came out she said "I will wait all day to get in the pit for him....I WILL PEE IN A BOTTLE"
Your friend and I share the exact same sentiments haha. I waited nine hours last year for Macca. Time to repeat for the Third Man.
Theres some bands I will want to wait a longggg time to get a good spot for...besides having a bottle to pee in, do you have any good advice from your experience waiting so long?
I'm most scared of the daytime Which closer/What pre-headliner conflicts. I'm anticipating having to make a tough decision every day.
I haven't seen a Which closing set in the past two years due to wanting to try get a decent spot for the headlining sets or something in a tent. I'm very concerned about the Arctic Monkeys closing the Which before Jack White. I'm totally fine with missing Lionel, but not having a good spot of Jack just isn't a possibility.
The current leaders on the Bonnaroo lineup page are
Elton John, Vampire Weekend, Kanye West, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys
I'm a little worried about Damon Albarn, Nick Cave, and The Flaming Lips being on the same day. If I have to choose though, I'd have to see Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. Been wanting to see them for a long time now.
DEFINITELY go for Nick. His live performances are unlike anything and if you haven't seen him yet, you're definitely in for an experience of a lifetime.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Weren't the Lumineers one of the top artists last year? They were on Which unfortunately
Very true, forgot about that. Although I'd like to believe more of that had to do with the fact that they were originally right before Mumford. Maybe Bonnaroo wanted an evening of folk-pop or didn't want similar bands back to back on the same stage. Had Mumford played it would have been an enormous migration from Which to What Stage and we all know how they like to keep foot traffic moving.

Make friends with the people in line with you is the best thing I can tell you. They were great about us all trading off spots and guarding places if we needed to go to the bathroom or get food. I brought a book to read and had plenty of sunscreen and about three of the biggest bottles of Smart Water they make. Also had my portable battery pack for my cell phone so I could hook it up to charge and not have it be dead by the time I had to walk back to my car.
(As a girl, peeing in a bottle wasn't feasible. Haha.)

The good thing about making friends in the pit lines is its easier since everyone has one maaaajor thing in common, the love of a certain band.....at least you were prepared with three smart water bottles, worst case scenario you could have poured one out and used it as a pee bottle haha
