Anyway. What are the details on how quickly this sells out? Anyone have experience? I'm hopefully taking a trip out there, probably just getting a single-day pass for Kanye's day, but I reeeeally need to clear that time off with my boss first...
also when is the schedule released/single day on sale?

Most of those were hinted at by Outside Lands over the past week or so. Headliners came from Coachella forums.
Good God, people! This lineup is awesome. With the plethora of music festivals there is bound to be overlap. But if you look at this from a Coachella Spring festival then Outside Lands in the summer and rounding it out with Treasure Island in the fall the So Cal kicks off festival season and The Bay Area winds it down. We'll done, California.
Kanye West Arctic Monkeys Disclosure The Flaming Lips Spoon Cut Copy HAIM Chromeo Lykke Li CHVRCHES Local Natives John Butler Trio Tycho SBTRKT Boys Noize Run The Jewels Holy Ghost! Warpaint Flume Lucius Typhoon Gold Panda Big Freedia Jagwar Ma
Out of that list, bands that I won't have already seen at another festival this year by August: Lykke Li SBTRKT Run The Jewels Gold Panda Big Freedia
I'm not sure I can justify it for that list of exclusive artists alone. This lineup isn't bad at all, but it really fell short on grabbing artists that aren't already touring all other festivals this year.

It's not bad but when I put it against other fests, other years of OSL, and bands I have already seen repeatedly from that line-up, it's a disappointment.

Roo always has the advantage of being a camping festival that can (if you wish) go all night. If I had to wander around a town for a weekend I'd prefer Frisco over Chi-town or Indio.

I'll agree with you there. I actually had grand plans for a 10 day visit to SF but it was contingent on the festival line-up wowing me. Maybe next year.
