crazy game. my first time as mafia, pfunk's second time ever playing and we were down one mafia from the beginning. I knew surfbum was inspector! good job townies.
This was rough. There was lots of stuff working against us including roonectar's absence, the inexperience of oneil and myself in the role of mafia, and our real life schedules being crazy enough to distract from the game. It is what it is, I guess. Congrats to the townies for the sweep, and apologies for this game being frustrating for some of you. It was certainly frustrating for us.
At least we nailed the inspector, the dirty surfbum that he is. I'm going to go back to hanging on the sidelines for a bit, and I will look forward to reading the next few games.

I was soooo sure roonectar was townie. The fact he hadn't logged on since his last post here, cuz when I'm mafia, after I get voted out I'm still posting in pm to my teammates and such. But I suppose under the circumstances he'd stay away.

Can it also be a rule that the ref has to give warning and a time before closing a round too? Not to not pick, but that last round before the runoff, there was no dead line posted at anytime, and no warning. This game in particular has worked to help me cool my guns and just go with the refs decision, but I think some adjustments might help prevent future dick heads(me in this case) from lashing out at the ref. .

It became increasingly apparent while refereeing this match that we need to make some things a bit clearer. Probably best to do that before the next round gets underway. I'm going to go make a thread to discuss the rules, and that way everyone can have their say when they're not viewing it as a townie or mafia member.
Sorry for trying your patience at times, Boner, Being a ref is sometimes like being in politics in that no matter what you do, somebody's probably going to be annoyed at you - but I always try really hard to be as impartial as possible when reffing.

Boner, it's hard to appreciate the job of being ref until you do it. It's selfless and thankless (at least during the game). So props to Sleepy for stepping up last game

I say go for it. Sometimes getting enough people to sign up can be like pulling teeth, so there's no telling if you'll even still be on vacation when it starts.
How long will you be away for? If it's just for a couple game days, I'm sure I or Viking or whoever could guest ref.

I leave for 7 days Wednesday. I can even check in here and there while I'm away. So might not be a problem. Have some folks keep up the player list for sign ups, and I can pop in to hand out roles if we get that far before I get home. I'm pretty accustomed to working from my phone. I'll just have to watch my typo's and such.
Nice game feels good to finally be on the right side of a sweep like that, even if part of it was for an absent player. I really thought Boner was mafia and was going after him had I not been the overnight kill depending on who the kill was.
